Question about Dell Latitude D600 Notebook
Hello all, about 2 months ago I set my laptop open on my floor while I was out of the house. Well my mom let our puppy loose and it **** just a LITTLE bit of **** directly on the power button. Every couple of weeks I'm able to get the computer to fully turn on, but once it shut it down the same problem occurs. The Problem: On the right side of the computer, the light above the battery charging is on, when I take the battery out and unplug it, then put everything back in, all the lights turn on for a second, but then disappear and show only the battery light again. Is the computer fried? It's just weird to me that every once in awhile I can get the thing to finally turn on, I have no data lost when it finally does fire up. Can someone please tell me if they know the issue? TY
Liquid, pee in your case, no matter how small, can cause an electrical short and fry motherboard components. I'm going to say that it has fried a component, and you'll want to have it checked out. Since the unit does start on occasion, then it's most likely going to be a replaceable component, probably the power switch circuit.
