Question about Fisher and Paykel 23 in. DD-603SS Built-in Dishwasher
If the key/ lock symbol is showing in the display, then it is possible you have the child lock on. Disable it by pressing the key/ lock button on the panel. Press and hold the "Lock" icon again until one beep is heard to release the lock.
If this doesn't work then it is likely the drawer has come off the rails and is not able to slide right back. You will need to open the drawer and slides and refit. Unless you are technically savy you will have to contact a technician.
Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

Your washer is in the
"child lock" mode, hence it won't allow any program. Press the "menu" button until you
see "CHILD LOCK :ON" appear in the display. If nothing is pressed within 10 seconds.following
this the menu will close and it will default to program in the display. Once you see that in the display, press the
"select" button until "CHILD LOCK :OFF" appears in the
display. Finally by pressing the
start/pause button the key symbol should disappear - confirming you have
successfully exited the child lock program.
Pl click if helped.

The lock button activates/deactivates the Keylock or the Childlock functions. This button has either a key or a padlock icon. I believe that on this model it is a padlock
The Keylock feature disables all the buttons on the control panel.
To activate, press and hold the button until you hear one beep (3 seconds). The symbol
appears in the electronic display when the Keylock feature is activated.
The Childlock feature locks the drawer and disables all the buttons on the control panel.
To activate, press and hold the button until you hear two beeps (5 seconds). The symbol
appears in the electronic display when the Childlock feature is activated.
To cancel the Childlock feature, press and hold the button until you hear one beep and the
symbol disappears from the electronic display.
This information can also be found in your product's Use and Care manual. If yours has been misplaced you can download or print one from Fisher and Paykel's website. http://www.fisherpaykel.com/customercare/userguide/index.cfm
If this doesn't work... And I've seen these units do some odd things. Try unplugging it for about an hour (if plug is not under sink you can turn of the breaker that powers the unit). Then plug it back in and see if that works. These dishwasher like many modern day appliances have solid state microprocessors in them which sometimes need reset just like a computer.
Hope this helps.
