Hello, Here are a few links to help you through the process.

Youtube link on how to remove it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ah3efRdWes&feature=related

Second and Third link is how where to get the software for it to remove them step-by-step. Depending what type of Virus you have.

http://remove-malware.com/how-to/how-to-remove-rogue-antimalware/

http://remove-malware.com/how-to/how-to-remove-malware-for-free/

Now keep in mind if when installing the software in normal windows mode it doesn't let you then you have to install it in Safe Mode. By pressing F8 on boot up. Make sure you select the one with Safe Mode with Networking. Also use another computer if need be to download the software. Transfer them with a USB.

Hope this helps!

How do i factory reset my C55D-A5120 Toshiba laptop without a recovery disc?

If a machine isn't infected with a virus, the easiest way to "factory reset" is to create a new administrator account, and delete the old account, along with all its files. You can do this by going into Control Panel and then users. In Windows 8, swipe (or move the cursor to the bottom right corner), click on Settings, then Control Panel.

Possible corrupt operating system. The cause of corrupt operating system is Windows file corrupted or virus infected Windows.

Solution corrupt Windows files:
1. START - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Recovery Options - System Restore (restore to the date when the OS is still normal)
2. START - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Recovery Options - System Image Recovery (restore using a backup system that you created)

Solution files corrupted due to virus infected windows
Update anti-virus and virus scan (if the virus is detected, the primary action = repair, secondary action = quarantine). Then repair the operating system with System Restore or System Recovery Options.
Note:
If the operating system infected with virus (virus infected not long ago), the best solution is to use System Restore. Restore to a date when the windows are still normal.

I wanted to restore my netbook to factory settings...

The Toshiba notebook laptop comes with the Windows XP operating system pre-installed. If viruses and other malicious programs have infected your laptop's hard drive, they can slow down your laptop and prevent you from accessing the Internet. You can fix these problems by using the recovery disc included with your operating system to restore the laptop back to its original factory settings.

1. Place the recovery disc, label-side up, into your Toshiba disc drive.

2. Let the program load completely, which takes just a few seconds.

3. Press the "Escape" keep to move forward to the installation process.

4.Change the drive's name to "C:/," a common name for drives in laptops.

5.Choose a name for your laptop, and click "Next" to finish the re-installation of Windows XP.

I hope you find it very helpful.

Hi i had to reformat my toshiba satelite p300 because i had viruses but now my user name and password wont log in to the computer any ideas thanks ?

You will need to use the Toshiba recovery CD for that. Unfortunately, if you did not create a recovery CD when the computer is still working, the only way you can get one is to call Toshiba and purchase a recovery CD. Otherwise, you will need to buy a Windows CD as well and all the other application that comes with your computer and install them manually. I do hope this information helped.

Try to clean the virus Download bootable f-secure,bootable cd or http://www.techmixer.com/free-f-secure-rescue-bootable-cd-to-clean-virus-and-malware/> And burn the iso file ,under image burning option withany nero(major user take it wrong and burn under data option ,and it cannot bootfrom cd) and boot from cd at the start time. Go for bios setupand boot from cd (If you don't have any concept)

How do i format my laptop sony ns-series completely because it got spyware virus in it and i want to format it completely. thanks

Hi,

The computer is supplied with a recovery partition in the hard drive. You can use the same to restore the computer back to factory settings. Please restart the computer and then press and hold F10 key to access the recovery partition. Once you access the same, please select "Restore C Drive" to perform a System Recovery.

As you have mentioned that the computer is infected by virus, there is a possibility that System Recover using the above method may not eradicate all the virus. In that situation a "Complete System Recovery" will be required. To perform a Complete System Recovery, you need the recovery discs. If you have created the recovery discs before, then you can use the same to perform a complete system recovery.

Else you can purchase the recovery discs from the below link:

https://servicesales.sel.sony.com/ecom/accessories/web/shoppingCart.do?operation=addToCart&itemId=679907&searchOperation=partSearch&searchText=Y8318687A

It is required to purchase the recovery discs only if the first step didn't resolve the issue. I'm providing the second options as additional information.

Hope this helps.

Thanks!!!!

Hi. Unfortunately, I would have to say that your computer is infected by a Trojan. You need to start your computer in safe mode and then proceed with virus removal. Which computer do you have?

How do i restore my toshiba laptop with the recovery cd, where can i get the recovery cd

Recovery CD is saved as a recovery partition on the system, which needs to be written/burn onto the CD/DVD.
Steps to create a recovery disc (Insert a blank DVD in the CD/DVD rom) -
1. Click Start
2. Select All Programs
3. Select Recovery Disc Creator.
Recovery Disk Creator
4. Within the Recovery Disc Creator select Create

If you dont have the above options, you need to call the tech support and ask for the recovery disc & it will be shipped to you.

I cannot re install my start up bar the file display

In XP, go to Start > Control Panel > "Taskbar and Start Menu" and open it and you should be able to show and lock your Task bar aka "menu bar" from the Taskbar/Start menue options you'll see there.
Good luck.
