Did he test for leakage?? He should of!!!
I had a so-called friend mechanic recharge my daughters auto AC. Worked one day, then stopped. Come to find out he didn't check for leaks as all the seals dried out & new freon leaked out the 1st time she used.

A/c clutch wont engage. the compressor and clutch are good i jumped the pins on the pressure switch, didnt work. i checked the relay.i jumped the pins where the relay goes and got it to engage.

there are two pressure switches in an ac system
one switch prevents the compressor from running if there is too much gas
the second is to prevent the compressor from running if there is insufficient gas
from what you describe , one of those switches ( most likely no gas) is the switch
check for oil dust around the fittings , condenser or have an ac specialist check for leaks and regas

My frigidaire is not cooling. my fans run and my compressor tries to start every couple of minutes and runs for 5 to 10 seconds. keeps repeating this

That could be an overload unit is fault due to fatigue or the relay that need to change from start winding to run winding is fault.if not the compressor is short cycling due to less refegrant gas in the systerm.Find a leak and regas after sealing it

The engine of my bmw 5 series 2003 model is vibrating whenever i on the air condition, what is the cause and the A/c will cool at-times and not cool at-times but suddenly it stops cooling yesterday,

ask a local mechanic with a proper AC regas machine as i think you may have too much gas in the system ,it will need emptying and regassing to the correct weight of gas

AC NOT COOLING VERY WELL AND STRAINS THE ENGINE

could be the pump is on the way out or you have overcharged the system using these so called top up cans ,these ac units normaly only need 700grms to work on car this size ,take to a specialist and get them to empty the system with the correct machine and check the weight of gas extracted and then vacumn and put some oil in and regas to the correct weight of gas

Ac woes

When you open car in morning is there a strange smell in it? You can check ac pressure with a tyre gauge should have a filler looks like a tyre valve near ac unit under bonnet check if it has pressure if not you have a leak and need to find and fix that befor regas. If leak suspected (you got not preasure in unit) get ac regasser out and tell him/her you think it maybe leaking and if passenger floor wet and your system still uses freon good chance you have a leak, they should dye the gas and the leak will become very obvious very fast once car started and ac turned on. But if you use freon you may not be able to regas depending on the laws in your neck of the woods. Here in australia if your useing freon and you need to regas you have to change a fair bit to use a legal gas which depends on type of refrigerant unit installed.

Hisense air conditioner

-If both compressor and fan motor starts and stop, thermostat is the defect.
- If only the compressor check for your outlet no sign of discoloration, check the voltage if normal, check the defective overload protector of the compressor it its external, or compressor itself is defective
