These older BMW radios may use a different type of code system and will require further advice.

Why was the battery missing to begin with? I would start by checking all fuses under dash and Central hub. Check for burned in-line fuses,if any, coming off of battery cables.

In the US, radio stations (FM at least), do not broadcast on the even frequencies...the radio will go 99.1, 99.3, 99.5, etc.

I changed the belt on the car now radio want come on at all 1995 bmw 525i

Is it possible that you disconnected your battery during the process of replacing the belt? If so maybe that could be a reason that is why your radio does not work. Is it asking you for a code? Sometimes cars will ask you for a code if you disconnect them from power. Let me know, Jeff from fixya

The battery on my 95 BMW 585i was disconnected for a month. Now the CODE sign comes on when I turn the radio on.

That is common among most car lines. The code should be in your owners packet, if it is not there, you may have to call the dealership with your VIN number to get the code.

How to input the radio code for 1995 525i

pull the radio, write down the serial # call BMW they will give you the code.

So, you entered a 4 digit number anyway hoping that was it. Shoulda bought lottery tickets when you did so.

Now you gotta turn the car on ACC for 1.5 hrs and re-enter the CORRECT code. They do this for the thief who has a lot of time on his hands.

Check Engine light on 1998 BMW Z3 roadster

yes the light is because of the gas cap being gone (sets code in evaporative emissions system), replace the gas cap, disconnect the battery for five minutes and that will turn of/reset the light, make sure u have the radio code before u do this, if u don't u will have no radio after the battery is disconnected..

if you have a bluetooth phone paired to the vehicle, try deleting all bluetooth devices. Sometimes a battery reset can cause bluetooth synchronizing issues.

Need code for radio 95 bmw 525i

If you do not have the code written in your owners manual or on some other piece of material you got with the purchase of your car then the only way to get the code is to remove the radio, check the serial number and call BMW with that serial number. Good luck!
