Hi,

I suggest try to Adjust the BIOS Brightness Mode Control into User Control and see if you able to adjust the brightness inside your OS. If not try to do system restore and go back to the time that its working.

How to adjust my laptop brighteness

You didn't post your OS? In win7 or vista, open Control Panel, select Power Options, select High Performance, select Change plan settings, adjust Display. If you are using battery power the Laptop will do a auto dim to conserve battery power. If this doesn't help post the Samsung Model and the OS you are using for a precise solution.

NEED TO ADJUST BRIGHTNESS

You didn't post the Make, Model of Laptop or the OS? All I can suggest is to Open the Control Panel, select Power Options, set to High performance, Change Plan settings, adjust brightness or when to dim display. If you are on Battery power the displat will dim to conserve battery power. Plugging in will brighten the display. If you have a NVidia Graphics Adapter it can be a bit different. Do ALL your Windows and Laptop Manufacturer's updates.

Go to the website www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/ and download the windows 7 upgrade advisor to check the components which are not compatible and also check whether your Processor support 32 bit or 64 bit OS.If it does not support the 64 Bit Os ,the only option will be to set up the machine using 32 bit OS win7.
