SOURCE: how to disconnect Kenwood KSC-WD250 Powered

There should be RCA's power and ground connections. the rca's run behind the stero, the ground runs somewhere to the frame of the car and power runs to the positive post on the battery.

I have Kenwood 106vr receiver, still working but lost remote control. Is there other way to adjust the BASS & TREBLE directly in the unit?

Hello
Not possible to adjust the tone without the remote.
if you have the possibility for a universal remote like "Logitech" remotes its Recommended for such cases, that will be easier for you to control the the AVR system.

How do you hook up a sub and amp to a stock radio with NO RCA outputs?

you can splice into the wires for your rear speakers and install some of your owns rca's and just use the low pass filter on your amplifier to eliminate the mids and highs from the frequency to your subs.

Installing self amplified sub to factory stereo

Hello Jax GS300,

Yes, you can use RCA cables. Just wire in a "low-level" converter.

Using RCA's is really the best way, allowing you to run shielded wiring to the sub, making it less likely that the wiring will pick up electrical interference. I'd install the converter on the rear speaker wires behind the dash.

If you do not want to convert the speaker output, you can drive the Kenwood directly from the speaker wires. The diagram in the install manual shows the connections coming off the rear speakers.

Here's a link to one output converter. This one will convert all 4 speakers.

Hope this helps.

It looks like the S-video you need one end to be male and the other is female end.The high quality the S-video wire the better the sound.Make sure you get a long enough cord. Take it with you to radio shack or and car audio or home audio find the female end of the S-Video and it should plug in perfect.Wire it up and enjoy some tunes

Kenwood receiver/sub problem

The amp's remote turn-on wire is probably connected to the blue wire coming from the back of the stereo - this is intended for a power antenna, which is why it only works when listening to the radio. Disconnect it from the blue wire and connect it to the blue/white wire coming from the back of the receiver and you should be good to go.
