Question about Curtis Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

I cannot get all speakers to work. I connected my blu-ray player to my HTIB1002 and the blu-ray has only 2 RCA outputs red/white. The Home Theater subwoofer has L/R front, Center, and L/R rear speakers. Where do I put the other cables in my blu-ray player? Do I need to buy a A/V Reciver? Which kind for these 150Watt Speakers? Any help here would be greatful. Thanks, Matt

I don't know what kind of bluray player you have but I would find it hard to beleive it does not have a digital optical output, maybe even HDMI. Anyway, I'm going to try to look up you HTIB1002, I'm assuming it's a receiver, But you may need an A/V. What in/out puts does the bluray player have? JUST red, white and yellow or are there others?

Okay, so I see that the model # you gave was for the speakers. It's doubtfull the blueray player will handlle you speakers. As far as a receiver goes, it all depends on how much you wan to spend and what kind of sound quality you want. What kind of tv do you have? In todays day and age, you would want to buy something with at least two digital optical in/out and probably 3 HDMI in with 1 HDMI out. Digital optical and HDMI are the beat thing going these days. HDMI carries both the audio and video, the digital optical only audio, but, the digital optical comes in handy for things like a cd player.

How do I hook up my coby dvd to my blu ray

There should be an orange rca plug on the back of the blue ray player. That is a digital audio output plug. The Colby has a similar plug. That's the digital audio input. It won't make any difference for the most part what color the your cable is. It could be red or white (one of your stereo plugs of need be). Connect the cable between this two plugs. Viola! (It's wise however to use orange cuz then you could easily distinguish which cable is carrying the digital audio). Make sure that digital audio is selected in your menu.

How do i connect a Blu-ray player to my TV

It should connect best to the one with blue, green, red and then the two for sound--red and white---This is component hookup.

once connected you select the input via the remote or menu..

The ones with the yellow, white and red are composite (yellow is video and color and red/white are audio---doubt it will work off blue ray unless similar outputs on that.

If your surround sound receiver unit has rca audio inputs(red/white), you can hook up any brand of DVD player that has rca outputs. You would hook the yellow output from DVD player to yellow input on TV. Hook red/white output from DVD player to red/white input on surround receiver. Hope this helps.

I wanted to know if there is a way to hook up the sound from a Panasonic DMP-BD655P-K Blu-Ray player to my existing Yamaha DVX C310SW home theater system. I know I can hook the Blu Ray directly to the TV...

Yes this can be done. You have several options for audio hookup. Stereo 2-channel (white and red) RCA cables, digital audio (optical or coaxial) or HDMI. Your home theater must have the inputs available such as optical, coaxial etc. Typically the stereo 2-channel RCA is the simple way. Just connect from the Bluray audio outputs to the Home theater inputs (white and red) for stereo sound. Select the input on the home theater. For Dolby Digital 5.1 use optical digital audio cable (black port) or coaxial (orange RCA port) from Bluray to similar home theater input.

1. The easiest solution would be to connect a stereo RCA (red and white) cable to the audio output on the back of your TV.
2. Then connect the other end to the input on your home theater system.
3. Change the home theater system to the correct input.

Good luck!

hi,
Is there is any optical digital output in your satelite HD. Then connect that optical digital output of satelite HD to the optical digital input of your surround system (blue ray player) using an optical cable.
Then press the function button on the remote of surround sound system (blue ray player) and select D.IN. (D.IN means DIGITAL IN). You will get the audio through the surround sound system. if you need any more assistance fell free to contact me through fixya.
ok

How to connect a bose cinemate to a panasonic tv digital audio out cable is not red and white what do i need

Get the best audio for whatever the TV is viewing from the same source (cable/dvd/blu-ray/sat). They will all have at least analog RCA audio output. The TV is not a primary source of audio in these cases.

The cinemate is not really intended for complex installations.
