They are made for TW boxes only to control their TVs. I do not believe the option you request is available. use the original remote for the TVs to change the channels on the TVs.

  1. Turn on the TV, VCR, DVD, or entertainment center that you want the remote control to control.
  2. On the remote control, press the appropriate mode button for the device once.
    Television TV
    Stereo amplifier or receiver AUX

  3. Press and hold the SETUP button until the selected mode button blinks twice, then release the SETUP button.
  4. Using the number keys, enter 9 - 9 - 1.

Result: The selected mode button blinks twice.
  5. Aim the remote control at the device, and then press the POWER button once.
  6. Press the CH+ (or CH-) button one or more times until the device turns off.

    Notes:

In search mode, the remote control sends IR codes from its library to the selected device, starting with the most popular code first.
If, while pressing the CH+ button, you inadvertently pass the code, press the CH- button one or more times until the TV turns on.
  7. Press the SETUP button once to lock in the code.

Result: The selected mode button blinks twice.
  8. To search for codes for other devices, repeat steps 1 through 7.
Hope this helps, give me thumbs please!

I want to set up my remote clu 5729tsi to the cable box

Try this as all remotes work about the same when manual setting.
Here you go. This will work with most all universal remote controls. If you don't have the code do the following:
Automatic Programming
With automatic programming, the remote control tests all the codes available on the Code List and assigns the correct code for the selected device. Although this method can be more time-consuming, it eliminates the need to look up codes and enter them manually.

1. Turn off the device with which you want to use the remote control.

2. Press and hold the corresponding button on the remote control
(TV, VCR, SAT, DVD, CAB or AUD) until POWER INDICATOR illuminates. It should take a couple of seconds for the light to remain solid. The remote control is in programming mode.

3. Press and release power button. The POWER INDICATOR flashes once and stays on indicating the unit is in Power Scan mode.

4. Press CHANNEL up or CHANNEL down repeatedly until the device turns on.

5. When the device turns on, press OK to store the code.

Note:
• To exit without storing the code, press BACK.
• T he unit will search for the next code or the previous code if you press
CHANNEL up or CHANNEL down after the device turns on. (go slow you need to press OK when the TV turns on) if you mess up turn TV off and start over.
6. Press any other button. If the device responds, the remote control has been programmed. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 2-5.

The RCA universal remote may already be set up to operate your brand of TV, VCR, or Cable Box. It is pre-programmed with following codes: TV-000, VCR-000, Cable Box-000, and AUX is programmed with VCR code 037.
