SOURCE: jacuzzi nova 532 motor run's but won't stay running

If it has the little oval off/on button, it sounds like the control box or off/on button is bad. If you have access to the pump assembly, follow the pump power cord to the little black box (zip tied to a tube up high), this black box has a small cable that goes to the off/on button. unplug the pump from the box and plug the pump into the power outlet. it should run continuously. If it runs, you need a new control box or /offon button. Buy the off/on button first, as this button is prone to water getting into it, and costs less than the control box.

SOURCE: Jacuzzi whirlpool, air on/off button on tub

If it is a air button that pushes in and comes back up, there is a good chance that the switch (which is mounted on the pump/motor) is bad. If the switch is a touch button on a key pad, the problem is in the control box for the pump/motor.

Need to know where the reset button is on Kohler jacuzzi tub

The only place I'd expect to find a reset button is on the motor itself. That is, unless it's a ground fault problem, in which case it might be on another ground fault outlet somewhere in the house (possibly a bathroom or garage outlet) OR on the breaker - check the breaker box to see if the breaker's tripped or the GFE button needs to be reset.

Air Switch Repair
It sounds like you have a bad air switch located in your motor.
The air switch is what the air hose connects to on the back of the motor or on the box on top of the motor. The other end of the air hose is connected to the air button on the lip of the tub.
This is a latching air switch and when you push the air button it latches to send power to the motor. When the air button is pushed again it opens the latch in the air switch and stops power going to the motor shutting it off.

My jacuzzi tub will not come on . fist it was making a humming sound , i turned it off checked the reset plug tried to turn it on and not a sound

mine did the same thing. the tub is plugged into a ground fault interupter (gfi) plug. hit the reset button. if this doesn't work, check the circuit the gfi is on, sometimes they are on the same circuit as the plugs at the sink. check them for reset also. if this fails, on the motor of the tub, there should be a reset button. try to reset it. OH first make sure the breaker has not been tripped.

Wiring of the 2-5-10-15 timer to a jucuzee bath tub it has three wires black blue green. Thanks. Terry.

First thing to consider is size of Load.
Leviton countdown-timer Load rating is 1800 Watt, 120Volt.
Look inside Jacuzzi at rating plate on motor.
Rating plate on motor should give Volts, Watts and Amps.
Formula Volts x Amps = Watts.
Sometimes motor shows VA which is Watts
Is Jacuzzi on 240Volt breaker or 120V breaker?
Leviton countdown timer is not for 240V load.

A) If 120Volt electric Load checks out, here's how to wire timer if 1 cable enter box.
Timer-black-wire connects to jacuzzi-black
Timer-white-wire connects to ground.
Timer-green connects to ground.
Timer-red connects to jacuzzi-blue.

B) Here's how to wire timer if 2 cables enter box.
120Volt cable coming from breaker box has black, white and bare copper wire.
Timer-black-wire connects to black-wire-from-breaker
Timer-white-wire connects to white-wire-from-breaker-box.
Timer-green and jacuzzi-ground connect to ground

Timer-red-wire connects to jacuzzi-black-wire.

Jacuzzi-blue-wire connects to white.
I am puzzled why this wire is blue if circuit is 120Volt.

I would like to install a Pass & Seymour RT1 Timer for my jacuzzi tub. 2 gang box contains white and black wires for the GFCI and white and black wires to the tub. how do I make this connection

I answer questions for free.
I specialize in timers and electrical devices.
My answer might ask for more information, and you can add a comment and we can go further.
The RT1 is a digital countdown timer rated for 120Volt 600 watts.

1) You need to consider the wattage of your jacuzzi circuit.
If circuit operates a motor, then check the nameplate on that motor for wattage.
The RT1 is too lightweight for 756Watt 1HP motor.
The RT1 will not work on a 240Volt circuit.
If the circuit operates lights only, then add up the wattage of your bulbs.

The Pass-Seymour site does not have a manual for the product that describes the intended purpose of the timer. For example some timers say 'incandescent only.'

2) Understand your wiring so we can get a timer that works:
You have a 2 gang box.
The box has a GFCI and no other device.
The GFCI has 4 screws
One cable enters box from breaker box with black and white ... and these wires connect to GFCI
One cable enters box from jacuzzi with black and white ... and these wires connect to GFCI

3) If the circuit is 120V.
Next we are going to talk about the cable going to jacuzzi.
Disconnect black wire going to jacuzzi.
Timer-black connects where this wire was connected.
Timer-red wire connects to black wire going to jacuzzi

The timer-white connects to the same screw that white-wire-going-to-jacuzzi connects to.
So there are two white wires on one screw.

If RT1 is too lightweight
You need a countdown timer rated for the circuit.
Intermatic makes a spring-wound FD series countdown timer that is rated for 2 HP

The Intermatic FD series timers can also be used if jacuzzi is 240Volt
http://www.intermatic.com/products/timers/in-wall%20timers/decorator%20spring%20wound%20timers.aspx

Add a comment, and I will help with more detailed information how to connect the FD series timers and answer any question about the FD.

RapidHeat In-Line Heater U395000 [ Bathtubs and Whirlpools,: My jacuzzi tub jets run for ONLY about 5 minutes b...

you have a bad motor - when a motor overheats there is a sensor inside the motor that will shut if down so as to not damage the windings and such. once your tub has cooled down for 10 mins or so it will turn back on. the fact that you can push the button multiple times just means that you are turning the air switch on the back of the motor on/off until you get to the point where the motor has cooled down and will turn back on. if you do not push the air button after the tub shuts down and you finish your bath then when the pump cools down it will come back on because the air switch in the motor is latching i.e. it is either on or off. Since you left it in the on position the motor will come back on once the motor has cooled down.
