Good Day, peterferd;
Try resetting the TV by unplugging from A/C outlet wait 3 to 5 minutes then plug back in. No fix? Call service company.
Good Luck, big IRISH.
The PIP may only work with an external tuner or source (VCR, DVD, CATV box, etc) If your TV doesnt say "dual tuner" then you need an external source for the PIP (Use a VCR and its tuner for instance)
i just bought one of these with the same problem and had a repair man come over. said it has a h.v. power supply problem even though the red light is on and some little board cant read the handwrighting on estimate but will follow up. must replace the whole board the power supply sits on, it is the big board that the power cord connects to in the back of the tv... other board it is located behind the little panel in between the speekers on the front it is the little one in the left hand top corner. parts/labor mainly parts +/-$500. is it worth it? ihave not seen this tv working so if there are any comments about the picture quality i woul like to hear/read them. hope this helps.
