Question about Sport & Outdoor - Others
If you are referring to the Tasco 5x20mm Golf range finding scope, Then you look through the scope and view the hole with a flag in it. Place the hole at the baseline as seen through the reticle, then read the numbers off the line at the top of the flag. I believe these are in tens of yards, not meters. So: 15 through the scope would actually be 150 yards. Finding the range to objects other-than the hole flag might be possible if you could accurately estimate how tall a hole flag would appear at the location you are looking at.
5x magnification is enough that it might help to stand with feet slightly apart and hold the scope with both hands to help steady the image. I can see the image wiggle with my shaky hands and heart beat.
I'm sorry that I can't help select the best iron or driver for each range. That will be up to you or a good caddy.
I hope this helps some.
