Relocate, on any typewriter, generally is used to take you back to where you left off typing. Example, you type a line and see an error at the beginning. You back space to correct it, hit relocate and it will return to where you stopped typing.

It's called BOLD on that machine.
Press and hold down ALT key and Press RELOC/BS ½ (if you look it says BOLD above the key) You will hear 2 beeps
To cancel bold type [ALT] + [BOLD] again
