This may sound silly but are you connecting your appliance on the correct side of the UPS??? one side of the UPS is for SURGE protection only, (NOT battery backup), the other side is for SURGE and BATTERY BACKUP protection, I'm asking because a lot of people did that mistake... if you have than the other mistake a LOT of people do is they don't connect the battery wire (when the unit is shipped the POSITIVE wire is disconnected) so the battery doesn't drain... if every thing is connected according to the manual and it still not working than use the calibrating software to check the state of the unit and calibrate the UPS, than refer to the company that sold it to you if nothing works it might still be under warranty...

Cheers!

Sharp Aquos LC45GX6U & TU-GD10U. The unit doesn't power up, and has a red blinking light from the moment you plug it in. The unit works fine in service mode.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Blinking codes details to many popular brand TVs are given. Surf the site with patience. If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.

I had the same problem, brand new battery, the indicator light still blinking red. I finally got mad enough to shake the mouse kinda hard, and it worked. I then removed and replaced the old batteries in, it started blinking red again, but it worked after I gave it a couple of hard side by side shake. I do notice that there's something moving inside the mouse. It could be a connector that got loose. Hope this fixes your problem

The battery backup side is not working other side works

Its most likely caused by a dead, failed battery or a bad connection with the battery inside the unit.

Double check the connections inside the unit to ensure the battery is connected properly. If it is, take a volt meter and measure the strength of the battery. A 12v ups battery should read about 13 volts.

There is a red blinking light and it is not cleaning.

My Ionic Breeze would work for a short time after cleaning and the blue light would start flashing and the unit would stop working. I checked the wall cube power adapter with a volt meter. It was putting out only 10 volts instead of the needed 12 volts. It seems The Ionic Breeze needs a full 12-13 volts to work. So I went to Radio Shack and bought a universal 12 volt 800ma power adapter. I checked the voltage in the new adapter, it was 13 volts. This fixed the flashing blue light problem. However the Ionic Breeze produces harmful Ozone gas, so I don't use it anymore.
