I gota dell windows 7 computer when i try to scan with my aio 5300 easy share a window pups up that reads .. YOU NEED A WIA DRIVER TO RUN THIS DIVICE

Did you install the Kodak software before connecting the printer to the computer? http://support.en.kodak.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/36460/selected/true has the software for Windows.

This error usually means that you installed the generic driver from the OS which only runs printer. Uninstall the current driver, disconnect the data cable (USB) and then restart your computer. Install the software from the Kodak site above. Then connect the data cable when prompted to do so. Try scanning after completing the installation procedure.

If you did install the Kodak software, it may have gotten corrupted. Please follow the above directions and let me know if you have any problems.

I don't know why your scanner is not working
This printer is supported by Windows 7. Therefore, if you are using Windows 7, you might try rolling back the driver, or updating it, or uninstalling it and letting it re-install next time you connect it/reboot the computer. All these things are done from the hardware device manager > printers in the OS
As WIA is contained within Windows, rather than an additional driver from HP, the steps above should resolve any issues that are due to a corrupt driver.

Windows 7 professional driver WIA


Try hp's website if you are talking about a driver for the printer. Or Dell's website if the WIA is something in windows.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "HP Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the drivers.

If no windows 7 drivers are available, try the Vista drivers.

Hi bjgestel !
This means there is no more support from HP for your unit under Windows 7 but Windows has a compatible driver included in it's system ( WIA ) .
The scanner should run smooth but with some restrictive functions . Normaly , it should run without having installed the HP XP driver/ sofware . If this not your case , there is a workaround after you installed the XP driver and made sure installation was successfull . The scanner will need to run with a third party application . Download FreeKapture from

Launch Freekapture , clic on Scan , select WIA-Hewlett-Packard . Your scanner will run . If you choose HP's software, program will hang .
Note : no slides or negatives scans possible in WIA mode but the rest works .

Trying to add dell photo AIO 962 printer to my toshiba satellite laptop which is running windows 7. have followed dell website instructions to download driver/firmwear etc and chosen vista 32bit under drop...


Hi! Regarding this matter. The dell photo AIO 962 may not be compatible with windows 7 thats why it gives you the error message. You downloaded the driver using vista32 but you have a windows 7 on you machine, its not gonna work. It may work on the toshiba if you gonna downgrade from windows 7 to vista, but if you dont want that option you can wait for sometime to have an AIO 962 update for windows 7 for it to work. Dimage Scan Dual IV is it compatable with Windows 7 32 bit?


Right now, the Konica-Minolta site lists the scanner as discontinued and has no drivers for Windows versions later than XP. The Microsoft Compatibility site lists it as "Information Coming Soon" You can try the generic driver that Windows will try to install (check if you need TWAIN or WIA drivers) or download the current driver and try installing it with XP SP3 compatability mode (right click on the file, select Properties, then the compatability tab.

If those fail, there is another option in Win7 Pro or Ultimate. Download and install the XP mode from Microsoft (2 downloads/installs). Then install the scanner inside the virtual computer running XP that results. You may need to save images to external media to share them between the two computers.

Trying to add a the dell AIO 940 to a windows 7 unable to find the right driver?


www.lexmark.com should have all the drivers, but if the AIO is too old they may not have a driver for windows 7 and you're out of luck unless you use VMware virtual machine and run an older version of windows that does have drivers.

Kodak 5300 all in one printer will not scan. Cannot get on line with 5300 a10 home center program, tells me printer is not connected


try to unplug replug the usb cable of the printer.

You may also go to control panel printer and faxes and look for the printer of your 5300 now if you see 2 icons delete them both then exit to printer and faxes. and unplug/replug your USB cable then restart computer.

If this issue not solve try to uninstall the software and download the clearutility kodak.com/go/clear. then after doing this restart computer.

Aio Home center will not open up to scan.


  1. Is your drivers properly installed?
  2. Use Paint in windows and try to aquire a imige from there,
  3. Else reload your driver
  4. Still not working reload your O/S windows

Updated to Windows Vista and now the Dell 922 AIO scanner won't work


For windows Vista; it is imperative to run the Vista patch which can be found on the Dell website (Downloads and drivers).
Make sure that you run the patch, after removing the printer USB cable from the computer. Restart the computer as the patch suggests and then install the Vista specific drivers, which also need to be downloaded from Dell Website.
Again, do not connect the printer unless the installation software asks you to.
For scanner issues, those who are unable to get anything scanned to their computer, and are able to print, it is essentialy a Firewall/Anti-virus issue. You can check that out by trying to scan using an application such as MSPaint (Start> type 'mspaint' > hit enter).
