Thanks Jerr. I am an EE and appreciate your water concern. No chance on water problem, but will make sure receptacle is GF protected anyway. I will probably go ahead and replace plug unless I get a better solution.

We have a airbath but the led light gone off and does not work

I am not sure of your question, but your airbath should be plugged into a GFCI receptacle. Unplug it and see if you can reset the receptacle with the little reset switch on it. If you can reset it, then plug the airbath back in. If it trips the receptacle again you have an electrical problem with the airbath, It is possible that instead of a GFCI receptacle, you have a GFCI breaker in the electric panel. Same thing, reset it in the panel.

Bought a used air compressor with no owners manual. Just read that you should never use an extra long extension cord. Could doing this cause the motor to struggle and the unit to shut down?

If it is a 120V compressor, they draw about 20 amps when running. It takes a clean 120v plug and a 20 amp circuit breaker and dedicated outlet to operate them. Make sure the plug copper contacts are clean and bright and the receptacle also. It also takes a very heavy extension cord to operate them on a extension (and is not recommended), use a longer pressure hose instead.

Slow cooker light does not come on and crock does not heat up when plugged in

Have you checked another receptacle? If you plug it into a known good receptacle, and it still doesn't work, it's broken. You should just buy a new one.

I have a coleman powermate maxa 5000 er Generator. Model # PM0525202. The powercord plug came loose and burnt the plug and the receptical(240). I replaced the plug and receptical and I am not getting...

If this is the model I am thinking of, there are 3 outlets. One 240V (L1, L2, Neutral and Earth ground. Some models use a 3 terminal receptacle that combines Neutral and earth.), one 120V receptacle (L1, Neut, earth) and another 120V receptacle (L2, Neut, earth).

If you verified fuse and circuit breakers are good, turn on the generator and verify you get 120V on each of the two outlets. Measuring between the narrow blades of the two 120V outlets should be 240V.
***Shut off the generator.
With a test light or ohmmeter, check continuity from the earth terminal of 120V outlets to 240V outlet. Likewise for neutral (wider blade on 120V outlet). Lastly, check continuity from Narrow blade of each outlet to the 240V outlet.

I suspect that you miswired neutral and earth. On a 4 wire PLUG, it is customary to connect earth and neutral.

Work safely so you can give feedback.

Grill will not turn on

I assume you are referring to the auger motor. If so, have you checked the electric receptacle the g=auger motor is plugged into? Plug another electric appliance, like a lamp into the receptacle to see if the lamp works. If not, look for a tripped circuit breaker in your home's breaker panel. If one is tripped, make sure nothing is plugged into the offending receptacle and reset the breaker. Plug the auger motor back in to see if the breaker trips again. If does, there's an electrical issue with the auger motor or the cord.

If none of the above is the problem, i have included a link to Traeger Industries website. There you can find and download the Owners Manual for your Grill-Smoker, which also has a Trouble Shooting Section.

DEWALT DG6300B NO POWER OUTPUT

Hello avid.....

If there is no power to the receptacles:

1. Turn the circuit breaker switches off and disconnect all electrical loads from the generator.

2. Turn the circuit breakers on and test the GFCI's by following the procedures in this manual

on page 1 -

TO TEST A GFCI:

Start the generator. Turn the auto idle switch off. Push in the TEST button (A) on the receptacle.

The RESET button (B) will pop out. Power is now off at the receptacle.

If the RESET button does not pop out, the GFCI is not working. Do not run

generator until the problem can be corrected. To restore power to receptacle,

push the RESET button in. If the RESET button pops out during operation,
stop the generator and check the generator and equipment for defects.

3. Place the voltage selector to the 120 Volt only positions (unless you are using a tool that

requires 240 Volts).

4. Turn the idle control switch off.

5. Turn the circuit breaker(s) off and reconnect the electrical loads. Be sure that the plugs are

securely connected to the receptacles.

6. Turn the circuit breaker(s) on.

7. If there is still no power at the receptacles, take the generator to an authorized DEWALT
service center. To locate a DEWALT service center nearest to you, call 1-800-4-DEWALT

When I turn on my treadmill it sparks and blows my gfci

Sparking means you have one of the electrical wires insulation broken or missing, causing a 'short'. check around the spark area for an exposed wire. if it sparks where you plug it in then the short could be any where along the electrical cord.

One other possibility could be a bad receptacle, try plugging something else into the receptacle, if it sparks also have the receptacle changed.
