Question about Sony BRAVIA KDL-32M4000 32" HDTV LCD TV
You need to open the cover of your TV to check the components inside.have a visual check on the power supply board first.The power supply maybe fluctuating and goes shutdown this is cause by a leaking capacitors.you can easily identify a faulty capacitors they look to bulging and deformed replace them all.use replacement capacitors of the same rating.Resolder also all the components at the power supply board.The power supply board has 3 voltage output use a multimeter and measure the output of the power supply 24v for the inverter board 5v for the main CPU board and 12v for tha audio.when 1 of these voltages is failed your TV will shut off.you can also order a replacement board online at shoppejimmy.com heres the link
check the inverter board.this board supplies high voltage to the back light lamp.This lamp illuminates the screen.if the inverter board is faulty you will have a black screen.resolder the board and check for any defective capacitors.re tighten also all the connectors make sure connectors are not loose.solder the connector terminals.
