Hi-

Check the ports from the back of your projector, look for an s-video port then check the available ports as well on your computer, so you either use an S-video cable or VGA cable, then when you connect your computer, if its a laptop press fn key then double tap f5 or f7.

keep me posted

Which cords and/or plugs should I use inorder to connect a projector to a computer

if your desktop doesn't have a standard vga socket then you can get a dvi adapter that fits onto the end of a vga lead. you will still need a seperate cable for audio as a dvi connection only does video.

Bought HP Compaq monitor with desktop pc and hooked the monitor with old computer and message dispalys input not support on the screen

This means that the Operation System is not equipped with the appropriate drivers for displaying any images on the monitor. You will need to find either a different monitor, or upgrade the video card for the computer.

On a laptop you have to activate the VGA output with a key combination, usually Fn & F3. The appropriate F-key will have a symbol of a monitor on it.

You may also need to change the screen resolution to a smaller size to suit the projector.

Whether you have a laptop or a desktop hooked up to this projector, you will need to adjust the resolution of your desktop to a level that the projector can handle. Without the Model number of the projector, I cannot tell what the resolution should be. I would hook it up and then lower the resolution level of the PC as see if it shows a picture. Does the projector show your desktop image on the screen? If not then changing the resolution will solve the problem.

I hope that I have provided the correct information that will assist you in the resolution of this issue.

When creating a Kai's Power Show quick show the images in the slide show are always much smaller than the computer screen images on the monitor or projector. When projecting a show this not a problem,...

Pose your problem in a Kai's Power Show category, natch.
Then the experts can tell you to configure quick show and save your configuration.
You should probably let people on to what version you're using, and double-check that you haven't specified a need to keep room in the matte for the full file-path, title, metadata, and other stuff that would use up the other 3/4 of the screen in the show template you saved last time.
Girl, would -that- be a space-killer.
