Question about Computers & Internet
1) flip it over and lay it on a towel. Unplug it and pull the battery out.
2) after a couple hours, use compressed air (in a can, not from a compressor) to get all the moisture you can out of the keys, speaker grille, and all the openings. BE CAREFUL TO HOLD THE CAN UPRIGHT or it will spray more liquid into your laptop.
If possible, wait a couple days before restoring power, just to ensure everything is dry. There shouldn't be any serious damage because laptop keyboards are pretty well waterproofed, but why take the chance?
also, if anything got on the screen, make sure your cleaning supplies are safe for your screen. Some glass cleaners will really ruin a laptop screen. If you don't have a local computer shop to ask, try calling Best Buy and asking what kind of cleaner to use.
