How can attach external speakers with RCA plugs or a mini-plug? Is the digital audio output the only connection for audio output? (The model is TC-P50G25)

Well isn't this just a find how do you do!!
It appears that on this set there is no headset or other audio connection other then the optical?

It appears the only way to a traditional RCA audio jack is via a special adapter. See image. Inexpensive not sure of the quality of audio.

The best way would be to purchase a sourround sound speaker amp system with 5 speakers plus base woofer. These surround sound systems are usually have optical connected and for best results this would be my first choice.

Some have wireless back speakers to allow for easier installation.

RCA RT2781BE 1000W Home Theater System with Bluetooth This unit has two optical inputs and one digital input.

This is an inexpensive surround sound speaker system that should connect to your Panasonic TV optical output. Very available and I wanted to give you at least one option. Wires etc are a mess but the surround sound can be amazing. I would check all the reviews if you decide to go with this type of audio system. They can be confusing and in your case you need to have input control of volume with optical.

The following link is the manual for this particular Home theater System.
http://rcaav.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/RT2781BE_IB_0708.pdf

These audio systems can be very expensive. Less expenesive sorround can still provide great listening results.

Hope this helps?

I have a 12" d4 type r 1000 rms and a alpine 1000 amp speaker sounds great but smells like something is burning, my amp never over heats or shuts down but the smell is still coming from the sub?

Cut your gain back on the amp. It sounds like they are set too high. Check your install instructions on how to set your gain. If you have a 4 or 5 volt output head unit your will not be at half way. Im running a JL Audio 500 /1 on a skar wwv10 dvc in a ported box. My gain is set about half way & its plenty loud.I have a Alpine 9887 headunit 5 volt output on my RCAsI can take a volt meter & set my speaker output at 45amps & my gain in perfect.

the unit is ok. User manual on page 42 says that the digital sources can not be output trough multisource output.
Try to use VCR-1 VCR-2 audio output jacks instead.

I have a sistem genius 5.1...

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers or uninstall
click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers make sure you have selected the
(((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there
also
click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar
if his does not fix the problem

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer
hope this helps

The modern computers are set up like an amp with different speaker sets. Windows allows for this under normal circumstances, but when you plug in this turntable the computer fails to find the correct speakers.
- Goto the windows start button - Control panel - Sound - Playback - you will see a number of speaker options and at least one meter that is moving up and down with the sound which you can't hear at the moment. You can do one of two options to fix this.
1) Easiest option, but may cause trouble should you change or add to your physical speakers in the future. - Double click on the speaker with the moving meter, and disable it. A new speaker is then chosen, and if that isn't the right one then do the same thing until the right speaker combo is selected.
2) The best option, as it won't cause future conflict problems. - Ignore the speaker with the working meter. Go to another speaker and double click on it. - Click advanced Tab - Click Test - If you don't hear anything, then move onto the next speaker. If you do hear a sound, then this is the right speaker configuration for your computer. You may have more than one sound card, and likely more than one input. - Once you find the correct speaker, then go back to the main speaker window and single click the speaker to highlight it. - Near the bottom of the window is a pull down menu to make that speaker your default. Do this, and all sound will work.
I can't help you with the amp question, as my ION recorder doesn't have the red/white output jacks for the stereo amp. The only thing I can suggest is it might be the setting on your amp where you choose your input mode.

Where can I download a driver for Altec Lansing ADA745 speakers?

HI, maybe theres been a bit of confusion but your Altec Lansing ADA745 speakers shouldn't need any drivers.
Its kind of similar to you plugging in a pair of headphones into your cumputer, they should work just fine.
Are you not getting any sound? Post the details of your PC (is it a dell?)
model number etc... and describe your problem
You probably need audio drivers for your audio device(inside your pc on your motherboard),

DTS Master HD audio problem

Hey! Make shure your amp and blu-ray player output and input signals are set to "bitsteam" and you are useing HDMI and optical connections. I hooked up my Onkyo tx sr 506 integrated amp to a Samsung BD 1400 player and everthing worked perfectly right out of the box. Perhaps your amp can"t decode DTS HD Master or your blue ray doesn't support it although i think a firmware upgrade may accomplish this. Put on The Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian which will DEFAULT to DTS HD MASTER 7.1 and see if it works. It's an excellent source to test your system. Picture and audio recieved 5 stars from Home Theatre magaziene and like i said, either your amp, or player doesn't support it or your interconnects are keeping it from coming thru. HDMI and OPTICAL connects and check your set up for "bitstream" Remember what Todd Rundgren allways said,"Everything will work if you just let it!"

RXV 1500, I am unable to get 5.1 audio

Just got off the phone with Yamaha customer support, who were very helpful.  The display on the amp, in the lower right hand corner, displays the source input, not the output.  So, for example, you can be watching cable tv, and the cable tv is sending a 2-channel stereo signal to your receiver.  Your amp shows only L and R.  But since it has a processing system, depending on the processing program you have chosen it will probably distribute that sound to all five speakers.  You will be confused, because you hear sound from all speakers but you only see L and R lit up.  You will believe that you are not getting 5.1 sound.  And you will be correct: you aren't, because the source is not sending you a five-channel signal.  That's where I got panicked.  So the Yamaha representative said, insert a DVD that you absolutely know contains a Dolby Digital audio.  I inserted Shaolin Soccer DVD, went straight to a scene in the middle, and bingo!  The center and surround right and left speaker lights lit up!  So there is the 5.1 surround sound.  It will light up when it detects that kind of sound from the source.  Otherwise it will probably give you a sort of "fake" 5-channel sound that it creates from a 2-channel source.
Now the question becomes, are your connections getting the 5-channel sound to the amp correctly?  I just confirmed that my DVD, connected with a Coaxial cable to the Yamaha, does get 5.1 surround sound, if the sound is encoded in the DVD.  I have not tested this yet with video games or Blu-Rays; I will post again if and when I confirm that this works on a PS3.
