Fix it yourself. Green to Green, White to White and Black to Black. Solder the connections. Use "shrink wrap (available at electronics stores of the Big Box place). One small piece on each and one large piece over the whole patch.

If you don't want to fix it, take it to a place in your town where they repair lawn mowers.

The cord to my window blinds accidentally got sucked up by my Dyson DC07. Is there a way to get the cord out without cutting the cord?

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

This would depend on exactly where the blind cord is stuck. If it's wrapped around the rotating brush bar you should be able to retrieve it by removing the soleplate and unwinding it - this should prevent you needing to cut it.

DC07's soleplate is quick and easy to remove - just use a coin to undo the catches which hold it in place for easier access to the brush bar:

I hope this helps, but if you'd like some further guidance from our experts you're welcome to give us a call. You can reach the Dyson Customer Helpline on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

Rice cooker retractable cord

Either go to the manufacturers web site and locate the particular model of your rice cooker- check for a schematic and/or parts list. Or call them and ask if they have replacement parts for the particular model of the rice cooker you own.

Dishwasher contuallycuts out through entire run cycle

Hi Andrew - Try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. Wait roughly ten minutes and turn on the dishwasher. Confirm that the door is properly latched and try selecting a cycle. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, it could potentially mean a number of things: wiring failure, damaged cord, faulty door latch assembly or control board. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose the washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.

If it is a clean cut, and not all mangled up. You can get a male or female replacement plug at any hardware store to replace the cut off end. Hope this helps you.

Had a bad place on the chord about 6 feet from the end, cut the chord back to that point, put on a new plug but now it won't turn on. Is there a reset switch or fuse somewhere?

Yes, there is. It's a small white button located near on the back, near the left wheel. Unplug vacuum, then use the end of a paper clip to push in and reset.

No sound

check if the A/V chords are firmly in place. (The yellow, white and red plugs). If it is firmly in place, and the sound still does not come out, the problem is that there is a loose chord. Try slightly bending the chord while testing if there's sound. This way, you'll know if it really is the chords that have a problem... hope this helps!

Wont charge

Look at your phrase "it only charged when i placed the chord in a certain position" ... This points to some kind of fault inside your phones charger-plug.

You can try fixing this by yourself by using this guide to dismantle your phone :

Only expanded view, but it should show you where to look.

Otherwise take it down to your local Service-Center and let them have a look at it, seems to be a pretty simple "operation"
