MY Marshall JCM 2000 100Watt head is quiet TURNED fully on stand by OFF and ready to plug guitar into the INPUT Jack. Soon as I plug into the INPUT Jack cracking noise hissing noise.

I would suspect a bad cable. Also, these symptoms show up if you mistakenly use a speaker cable (unsheided) as a guitar cable (shielded).

Why is my Fender Blues Deluxe Amp making a crackling sound without an instrument even plugged into it and when I do plug in, it quiets when I touch any place on the guitar?

You probably need a new input jack on the amplifier. When they get loose the connecting wires can crackle, but plugging a guitar in stabilizes them (no more crackle).

It is possiblle that the sudden pulse from the pickup due to tapping is saturating the input of your amplifier, and that is what actually kills the signal. Try this into a different amp as a test. Once you do the test I can offer some suggestions to try.

You have analyzed the problem... with the strings muted, the unit is quiet... that means the problem is with the guitar or cable picking up the noise. Move the guitar around near other things to search out the source which is probably magnetic fields... orient the guitar differently to sniff for the source. OFTEN lamp dimmers generate higher frequency components that can couple into the guitar pickups. The problem is fairly common.

You likely are in an area that has magnetic fields. Also you may have the settings on the amp that accentuates the noise. Eliminating this noise, especially at low levels, can be difficult if you have devices like flourescent lights that have magnetic ballasts.

You might also try running a different source into the amp such as a walkman player to verify the audio can be cleanly amplified. If that works, then the amp is OK.

My tuner reads D when it should be on E. It is set for 440. Please help. Thx

Test on another guitar first... If it only happens on yours, then you guitar MAY have a resonance in the neck or bridge that cross couples to your D string that MAY be the strongest vibration which the tuner is looking for. Try damping your D string while tuning the E strings by placing a finger on the D string to quiet the D..

I play Gibson USA Sgs, one with 490/498 humbuckers and one with 57classics....The Amp has a loud buzz like feedback all the time on the overdrive channel.

If the amp is quiet with cables unplugged at the same settings as observing the buzz, the amp is OK.

In this case, cables and/or shielding and wiring in the guotar is suspect.

Guitar pickups are sensitive to magnetic fields and you can search out these fields by moving and orienting your guitar to find maximum buzz.

If the amp has objectional buzz with teh cables UNPLUGGED then the amp needs servicing. Filter capacitors among other things are suspect.

While it could be true that you're having a problem with the guitar or cable as the previouse expert suggested, to say that it can't be anything else is false. It could be a jack problem...it would only be apparant when the jack is making contact with a cable. I do think you should test it with another guitar and another cable but if that is not solving the problem then I bet it's a problem with the input jack of the amo itself or even one of the ionternal components (this is a digital amp and there are MANY components and settings that can trigger a problem like this) If the problem is not solved with a new cable/guitar configuration then it's time to take it to the shop.

It is possible the pedal is DESIGNED to be used with an amplified (preamp within guitar) and yours MAY be a passive guitar. You did not tell us what guitar you have.
Many of the processors for guitars depend on having a "line level" signal and that requires that your guitar has a built in preamp.
If your guitar doesn't have a preamp in it, buy a preamp to put ahead of this pedal.

My Tascam CD GT1 mkii guitar trainer is doing everything except when I plug my guitar into the unit, I can not hear my guitar?

Here is the manual if you don't have one:http://www.tascam.com/details;9,21,23,19.html Make sure your guitar cord is working. Make sure your are plugged into the Guitar/Mike input jack.Do not connect a guitar amp to this jack via line out on the amp or otherwise. Set the Guitar/Mike switch to Guitar. Use the Input control to adjust the level of the input.Adjust your Headphone level using the Output control.Carefully read pages 12, 13, 14 and 15 of the manual. There are various combinations of controls that would make your guitar too quiet to be heard. Example: Mix Balance page 24. Let me know if this helps.

Amp goes quiet after working fine for about 15-20 min.

If you are not a tech, I suggest you send it to one. If you are, after signal-dropout spray output transistors (one at a time) with component cooler (freeze spray). If still no results, go to the other transistors & IC's. Chances are that will pinpoint faulty component.
