Question about Nikon COOLPIX S6000 Digital Camera
The image mode setting, available in the menu, allows you to set the size of the pictures. Smaller pictures result in smaller files, allowing you to store more pictures on a memory card, but larger pictures capture more detail and allow for larger enlargements and more cropping.
Unless you have a very good reason, set your camera to the largest (it should already be there by default, unless you've changed it). You paid for the high resolution, so use it.
