The only bearings I can locate on the unit are built into the motor and its housing. Considering accessing them would damage the water tight seal I would not recommend replacement.

How much will it cost to repair the traction control

There are a few components that effect the traction control. There is usually a speed sensor on the transmission, that would probably be the cheapest (probably less than $50) although the wires could be just broken (which was the case with my daughters car) and could be soldered back together (approximately $5 in materials). Then there are all the hubs that usually include the wheel bearing, those could be around $100 each. But most of all put it on a scanner see where the "real" problem is before you buy any parts. It may be cheaper than you think.

Kenmore elite 106.44423603 ice/water dispenser housing - plastic broken off for ice door pin hinge. Any ideas for a fix?

Hi and thanks for using fixya!

There is actually a "kit" that replaces the hinge, housing for the hinge, dispenser door and bracket. Just be sure when you're taking everything apart you pay special attention to how it goes back together. Kit comes with metal bracket that will replace old housing. Now that I think about it the kit comes with instructions! Kit pt# 8201756 and you can purchase it here. Appliance Parts

I have a year old kitchen aid dishwasher and during fill cycle it makes a thumping noise. The dishwasher every 5 or 10 seconds shuts off fill cycle then turns back on which I think is what's causing...

Drain Pump

If the dishwasher is loud during operation, the drain pump might be defective or might have some debris in it. This is a common problem.

Circulation Pump

If the dishwasher is loud during operation, and the noise is a continuous drone similar in speed to the circulation pump sound, it's likely that the circulation pump motor bearings have failed. Once this happens the circulation pump will have to be replaced, the bearings are not repairable.

Drain Impeller

If the dishwasher is loud during operation, the drain impeller might be broken, or there might be debris in the pump. Generally, to gain access to the pump the top of the pump housing will have to be removed.

Pump and Motor Assembly

If the dishwasher is loud the motor bearings, drain impeller or wash impeller might have worn out. All three of these components are part of the pump and motor assembly. It may be possible to replace one of the impellers, but the motor bearings cannot be repaired. In that case the pump and motor assembly will need to be replaced.

Wash Impeller

The wash impeller is a small, plastic blade. The motor spins the impeller forcing water through the spray arms to clean the dishes. If one or more blades has broken off of the impeller the dishwasher is loud. The impeller can also scrape against the pump housing if it is damaged, warped or bent.

Circulation and Drain Pump Motor

If the dishwasher is loud during operation, and the noise is a continuous drone similar in speed to the motor sound, it's likely that the circulation and drain pump motor bearings have failed. Once this happens the motor will have to be replaced, the bearings are not repairable.

Water Inlet Valve

The water inlet valve is an electrically controlled water valve. When it is new, the water inlet valve is very quiet. Over time, the diaphragm inside the valve deteriorates and deforms. This deformation interacts with the water rushing in and can cause a loud vibration, buzzing, squealing or other noises. If the dishwasher is loud during the filling cycle, replacing the water inlet valve may solve the problem.

How to fix a hole in my exhaust line in my 2007 Chrysler 300c

usually if there is a hole in an exhaust component the component is replaced. you can check any online parts store for exhaust parts and find the part that you need.

Exhaust systems can be a real bear to work on. Rusted bolts and pipes can make the job really difficult. It may not be a bad idea to have a shop take a look and give you an estimate for repairs. Exhaust is pretty competitive so the prices may not be as bad as you may think.

Thumping Noise Under Duress

Hi. Your problem probably lies in the plastic transmission housing. This cheap piece of plastic has no business in a high priced mixer, as it has two important shafts that depend on the integrity of this housing for their bearing seats

Remove the top cover from the mixer. At the front top of the mixer is the trans. housing. Examine this housing carefully for cracks. If you find cracks, then you have new damage inside the mixer. If, when you replaced the three gears, I suspect that you did not discover the cracks in the trans. housing and reinstalled it after you replaced the gears, or you may have missed internal damage from the first breakdown.

When this cheap plastic part fails, it can destroy the worm gear, it's bearings and the bearing seats and possibly more.

Kitchenaid's replacement housing is made of metal. Kitchenaid markets these mixers saying it can handle bread dough. The ugly truth is they cannot!

You must open the unit up, remove and save the grease if it's relatively new. You must check every moving part in the mixer's transmission. You have to remove grease from these parts in order to find the damage. When you have the unit repaired, sell it!

I had the same problem with my mixer. I replaced all of the broken parts, and sold it. Since then, I bought a used Hobart N50 ( 5 quart), and an A200 (20 quart) mixers, both of which are commercial mixers. Both of these can handle heavy dough and they do so with ease.

Kitchenaid, to this date, have refused to recall these trans. housings, even though thousands of these cheap plastic housings have failed. Good luck with this saga!

If this solution has assisted you, please rate it. ricardok45

Front load washer, drum got lower help!!!!

Well if the metal drum that spins lowered into the surrounding plastic drum housing,,,, that would mean that the 3 metal arms behind your metal drum that secure it to the bearing may be corroded, and one or more may have broken causeing the metal drum to tilt, or be lower in the plastic drum housing than it should be. The 3 metal arms in the back that connect the drum to the bearing is called the Spider Vein Assembly, and its somewhat expensive to fix, and extremely hard to get at.
