Question about Altronix Hubway Hubway162d Utp Power Video Balun Hub

1 Answer

We are not able to get our Samsung SCC-C4335 zoom cameras to zoom after installing the Hubway163DI on a DVR with 2x GV-1480 cards running o/s 8.4. What do we need to do to make it work? We have a GV net card we are connecting the output of the Hubway to & we can see the cameras, but not let them zoom.

Well, it might seem like a simple solution but.....
Have you checked to make sure the Data+ and Data- aren't reversed? If they were, or if they weren't even hooked up either at the hubway or the cameras, everything but the zoom (and tilt pan if they had it) would work.

Settings on camera

The settings on the camera can be accessed by searching for your camera on your network. 1. Connect the IP camera to your network making sure to use the correct power supply or POE switch. Then use the GGV-IP Device Utility which can be downloaded for free on the Geovision Website. This utility will find all of your IP cameras by IP address. To access the camera, use the default user name and password of admin/admin. You can update the camera settings including the IUP address, gateway, subnet mask, etc by choosing the updating settings section and then inserting the user name and password.
