Question about Viper SmartStart Module

2 Answers

I've had a SmartStart installed on my truck for six months. It has always worked perfectly. We have 2 iPhones that are set up to start the truck, and they have never had any problems. Today, though, we have started receiving the message "Unable to Verify Action on Device" whenever we try to start the truck with either phone. The truck doesn't respond. Both phones started giving the message on the same day. What does this indicate and what needs to be done to correct the problem? Thanks!

One of my customers just had the same problem. I had him turn the wifi off on his phone and the smart start started working again. His phone was not connected properly to his home wifi.

Is your service plan still active? check mysmartstart.com to make sure it does not need to be renewed. otherwise try calling their technical support line mon-fri. this error message is typically associated with an account issue.

When I pull up the status button on my smartphone smartstart. It show's that all of the features as refresh for update. HOW do I refresh them?

It sounds to me like your app has an update available. If you have an iPhone this is a normal occurance. iPhone and iPad frequently get update available reminders.
Go to the app store and sign in. It should show all available app updates. At this point, click on update all or, update only the ones you want.

The black to white setting on my iPhone 3G changes by itself can you tell me what the problem is?

What the HELL is this setting for anyway.
And, what the HELL kind of solutions are these?
Happened to my iPhone 3. Back then, I did not even know it was a setting. A month ago it started happening to my iPhone 4G. I can set it back by going into Settings > General > Accessibility. Probably hardware (chip) going bad. It is annoying and cannot make it happen, it just does. I hope it holds up another 5 months for New iPhone.
Like clock work, you have problems with them before 2 year contract is up.

Six-disc cd player

I too have this problem. My alternator went out, however and when starting the car after having that replaced it must have reset my CD player and it worked again for about 2 months. I am back to the CD error again tho. Thinking of un-hooking my battery cables to see if that will reset it again.
