Question about Whirlpool 24 in. GU2548XTP Built-in Dishwasher

Troubleshooting to confirm

Thanks for the repsponse. As you can see form all my posts, I have had several generic responses to my issue. Can you help me troubleshoot to confirm that it is not the sensors? It looks like it is two of the same sensor. If they are in series, that might explain the different voltage readings. The odd thing is that if I push on the right spot, then the cycle will start, but it is literally 15 mins of pushing all around the panel in the attemp to get it "latched" The door is latched though from the beginning, you can hear the click. I also taped off the two sensors to make sure they wer depressed and still no luck.

The new circuit board fixed the problem. Please post on my issue so I can credit you with the fix.

Dishwasher's green clean light is on, it will not restart and there is some standing water on the bottom.

Good Morning Emma, thank you for your post!

Let's try resetting the dishwasher by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. It is important to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn dishwasher back on. Confirm that the door is properly latched and try selecting a cycle. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, it could potentially mean a number of things: a potential wiring failure, damaged cord, faulty door latch assembly, pump or control board. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the appliance.

Clean light is blinking and cannot use dishwasher

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. If the green/clean light flashes, pauses, and then repeats. When the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it stops working and locks the functions (clean light flashes, all buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water.

To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...

-high temp wash

-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry

Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thomo, make sure the sprayer holes in the spray arms are clean. Grains of rice seem to be a dishwashers biggest enemy as they don't desolve and eventually end up lodged in the spray holes. The holes at the end of the spray arms are the ones responsible for the washing out of the soap powder from the dispenser, if they are blocked this does not happen.
Hope this helps
Cheers
