SOURCE: Washer will fill up but after that nothing happens?

The lid switch is my first thing to check. There are two wires going to this switch, jump these together and this will tell you if it is working. The clicking noise won't tell you for sure.

Next, you need a volt meter to see if power is getting to the motor, if so, you have a bad motor.

SOURCE: can't get top off kenmore washer model # 110 22852 100

No problem. What you want to do is this, remove the screws from the back panel first to remove that metal plate protecting the wires. Once off you need to take off the two covers on the sides of the control panel. There is one on each side, just pop them off. Once off you will see there is a screw under there holding the control panel in place. Remove the screws and that will lean back. Next take a flat head screw driver and put it under the lip of the lid on the front of the washer. I mean the lip that is about an inch down from the top on the front. Pry up and the whole lid will pop up. You will see the lid switch there held in by a screw, follow the wire to where it plugs in and unplug it and replace with the new one. Let me know if you have any other questions and if this was helpful to you. Always happy to help and good luck.

This problem is commonly attributed to a lid switch malfunction. The lid switch is mounted under the washer top casing, on the right hand side on most top load models. It is activated by a plastic piece on the lid (called a "Lid Strike") through a small hole on the rim of the wash tub opening. In many cases the lid strike breaks off the lid, or the lid switch becomes loose and no longer makes contact. Inspect the lid to make sure the lid strike is still intact, and then inspect the mounting screws (adjacent to the small opening on the wash tub rim) and make sure they are snug.

A replacement lid switch can be purchased on line at appliancepartspros.com for about $25. The part number is 3949238. Just use the "Search by Model Number" feature when you go to the site. If you do not wish to order on line, take the part number provided to your nearest appliance parts retailer. This is a very common part that they should have in their inventory. For instructions on how to replace a lid switch, you can refer to this link: http://www.fixya.com/support/r385198-replacing_lid_switch If you still need assistance, please contact me and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

The washer dosn't spin out or fill properly, goes through all the cycles with nothing happening inside

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire washer doesn't spin out or fill properly. I also see that it goes through all the cycles with nothing happening. Please try resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and try any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. If further troubleshooting is needed, please leave me your model number. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Top load machines will fill with water while the lid is open. Your problem starts when you close your lid. NOTHING happens. I believe this to be your LID SWITCH . Replace or have replaced and you should be OK. GOOD LUCK.

Water fills the tub then nothing happens.

it does not aggitate? Thats the cycle that allows the water to wash the clothes. It may be broken, I have had that happen a couple times. I would take the aggitator off and see if the teeth in the groves are worn out, It happen's when used alot. Commen problem and easy to replace.
