Check the version of your windows media player. Some of the older version does not support ripping CD's. try updating to the latest windows media player version.

Toshiba c650d not booting up

Most typical reason for Toshiba laptop not booting up is a defective hard drive.
If you have a Windows disc that came with your laptop, then find an inexpensive hard drive at a retailer that enables you to return the hard drive within 14 days......and replace the hard drive. Make SURE the hard drive is a 2.5 inch model and that it is a direct replacement for your notebook. (Call the vendor's tech support if necessary to ensure compatibility).

If you are able to reload Windows, then your problem is fixed. If not, return the hard drive and take your notebook in for a repair estimate.

I have an advent laptop with windows 7 and want to know how to rip a cd to my laptop then sync to an mp3 please spell it out in laymans terms. THANKS

You can convert your CDs to MP3 music files.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.
There are also Freeware CD RIP programs on the Internet that add the musictitle and album folders to the mp3 file automatically.

Copying a CD - How do I go from the DVD player to the hard drive and back to a blank CD? It's a Toshiba L300

Hi,

Pop your music CD into the drive and open it with Windows Media Player. In Media Player there is an option to "Rip" or "Copy" the CD.

Choose one of those options and copy the CD to the hard drive. After its been ripped you can then select the burn option and copy it to a blank CD.

It's as easy as that, however you cannot do this with DVD's just music CD's.

Please post back if you require anymore advice.

Regards.

I sync with my mp3 player on computer it loads then i press play on mp3 player no music but vol is on i save my music from cd straight to windows media player then sync with mp3 player

if its right you just copy the shortcut of the music from your cd to your windows media player, meaning you cannot play that song in the media player if the cd is not inserted, you have to rip first the cd to your pc then put it in your mp3. Also make sure that you rip it in the right format that your mp3 can play, media player automatically rip the music as wma not mp3, make sure your mp3 player can play wma.

How do you get a cd onto it!

Here's what you want to do. Use Windows Media Player to re-Rip the CD's in Mp3 format. Go to Windows Media Player 11 --> Rip --> Rip Options --> Format --> Mp3 (you can get to Rip options by moving the mouse over the Rip tab, and a small black arrow will appear - click on the arrow).

Once the songs are in true mp3 format, you can then use the Sync tab in Windows Media Player to transfer the songs.

Yep you sure can. Depending on the version of Windows Media Player that you have it's pretty easy to rip the CD and then sync it to your Mix Max. I recommend using Windows Media Player 11 as it's the easiest so I'd recommend you install that first. Then insert your CD into your computer, open Windows Media Player and click on the "Rip" button at the top. Select the tracks on the CD that you want to add to the player and click "Start Rip." Once the tracks have completed ripping click on the "Sync" button at the top right of Windows Media Player. Then just drag the tracks from the library on the left to the sync list on the right and click "Start Sync."

Use Windows Media Player to transfer songs and rip songs from CD to this player - the help files below will be WAY more helpful than the Philips manual (but, just in case, you can get the manual by going to www.usasupport.philips.com):

The instructions in these pages, which are largely links, pertain to Windows Media Player 10 and 11 only.

Windows Media Player is made by Microsoft. The general help page for Windows Media Player is:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/default.mspx

Through this link, you can enter a variety of search terms that will help you find what you are looking for (exs.: “add files to my mp3 player”; “delete files from my mp3 player,” etc.)

Important Vocabulary:

The code word for “mp3 player” in Windows Media Player is “DEVICE” or “portable device”

The code word for adding files is “SYNC,” “syncing,” or “synchronizing”

The code word for copying files from CD is “RIP,” or “ripping”

The code word for files stored on both My Computer and my Mp3 player (when it is connected to the computer) is “LIBRARY”

To add files (SYNC) to your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 10:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/windowsmediaplayer/wmp10/harrison_wmp10.mspx

To add files (SYNC) to your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 11:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/faq/sync.mspx

To delete files from your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 10:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/knowledgecenter/mediaadvice/0085.mspx#EDF

To delete files from your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 11:

My Directions:

1. Connect your mp3 player to the computer

2. Open Windows Media Player

3. Click on the icon of your Mp3 player on the left-hand side of the Library

4. Click on the Songs, Tracks, or other Music Folder

5. Find a song or songs that you want to delete

6. Left-click the song once to highlight it

7. Press the “Delete” button on your computer’s keyboard

To copy (RIP) files from CD to Mp3 player using Windows Media Player 10:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/windowsmediaplayer/getstarted/ripcd.mspx

To copy (RIP) files from CD to Mp3 player using Windows Media Player 11:
