This does not work because only 1 monitor shows up in Display. When I click detect, monitor 2 will show up for one second then disappear. Same thing when in Device Manager. When I right-click on monitor (or display adapter), the 2nd monitor shows up for a second then disappears.

Hello there. So you want to use 2 monitors at the same time? Well this is simple enough. Ok go into windows and right click your desktop. Go down to screen resolution. There is a dropdown there that will allow you to extend your display to 2 monitors. Select your desired mode from here and click apply. You should be good to go.

First off all reset the bios to default setting and restart the system. After restarting the system please go to your bios in the graphics segment and select auto option for card selection.

once done save all setting connect your monitor cable to your monitor and restart the system.

hope this will solve your problem.

I just got a viewsonic 24 in lcd monitor. it works in safe mode and also works when connected to a "pig tail" (one to two dvi cable). however when connected by itself it shuts off after...

It is either a faulty or loose connection or a bad cable.

If your pc video card is separate from your motherboard, you can open the case and pull it out - then push it back down to make sure its in there solid. If it is not a separate card, then the connection that you hook the monitor cable to is bad and needs to be replaced. Check the pins on the cable. Count them. Make sure they are all there and none have been broken off. Count the holes in the connection to verify how many pins there should be on the cable itself.

Cant extend workspace

The splitter you bought allows you to split one video signal into two. For example, a teacher using a computer to teach a class. She has one computer, one monitor she can see and then the splitter allows the students to see what she sees. To display independent screens you'll need to add another card to your system. Microsoft Help and Support lays out how to do this with Win 2000. No splitter involved.

No display on monitor but cpu is running

The main problem is in the RAM or MEMORY CARD, just detach it and place it back or on another slot beside it.... if this dont work, buy a new memory card. but this usually works
