My GE Electric Dryer Model DX2300EB0WW will turn and heat up when start switch is turn to start position, but won't stay on when switch is let go. Is the start switch also a relay? I can order replacement start switch for $38.00, does it sound like what it would cost for a switch with relay? What is the aveage cost for a professional repair for such problem?

Change the sensor in the drum. Theres a sensor that tells it if there is moister in the enclosure.

you need to replace the rear drum bearing by removing the front panel lower screws and then remove the top cover and lean back and secure so as not to break wires to control panel, then remove drum belt, lift out drum and replace with bearing kit
