Question about Saeco Talea Giro Espresso Machine

2 Answers

Saeco Talea Giro Plus, descaling following instructions step by step. In step 12 the descaling light did not turn off. The warning light came on as indicated. In step 15, pressing the descaling button turned off the warning light, as it should. But now the descaling light stays on and the machine is disabled. Nothing seems to work even turning it off, unplugging it, pushing the descaling button, or pushing the hot water button. What will fix it? Thanks for the help.

Well, I fixed it myself. I let the rinse cycle going and going until it finally decided to turn off the descaling light. It went through 3 or 4 additional water reservoir refills, but it ended up all ok.

This was the first problem I encountered since it was new 8 months ago. I hope it's the last.

I just had the same issue, after 1.5 years with no problems. I followed the advice above, ran it through 2 additional rinse cycles, and the light reset.

Try doing another rinse cycle until water tank empties. I had to do that a couple of times, then the red exclamation mark came on. Then I turned knob to off position, refilled water tank, pressed the descale button for 6 seconds, green light came back on and it did its priming.

Also, be sure that the water sensor on the machine (little black box that presses against the water tank near the bottom) is not wet and the tank is dry on the outside. I had mine get stuck because of that.

Did you often use the espresso machine for family or for business, when you often use the machine and you used water that is not filtered, you can assure it need to descale often.
Read carefully the manual and follow instruction. Did you descale it in the right amount of solution, how long and its duration?
If still persist ( the descaling light continue flashing ) then it has a defect in sensor. Since your machine is new, its under warranty. Call the dealer where you brought that and a service technician will send.
I hope I give you answer and solution idea for your unit problem.

I have completed several descaling cycles on my talea machine, but the light will not go off. Help?

Check the manual there is a button that disables the warning after the descale has been done, on the Odea it is holding the hot water button for six seconds.
