Question about HEWLETT-PACKARD ProBook 4520s
Try going to Control Panel - Hardware and sound - mouse. Once you have the menu for the mouse open, go to device settings. Click settings, and all of the advanced controls for the functions of your mouse pad can be found there. Once in advanced settings, you should be able to enable the scroll function.

Testimonial: "Thank you. The touch pad is working just like it was before my hard drive had to be replaced and everything reinstalled."
Di you try scrolling with "Two finger swipe gesture"? Worth a try!

I've seen this before and I think I know what might have happened.
Of course, I'm guessing, so bear with me.
during an update from Windows website, the touchpad drivers were updated. This was done, in all likelihood, without your knowledge.
Find the touchpad in the Device manager (I'm guessing you know your way around a computer) and look at the properties.
Then, roll back the driver and restart.

It depends, do you know if there is an icon down in the taskbar near the clock that has options for your mouse, if there is then you would double click that and there should be options in there.
