You seem to have opened up your speakers already. So, I think you should use your creativity to displace the parts a little so that no contact takes place even at max volume.

When i wire my sub up,it flexs out and stays there with no sound..

You have dc voltage on your output, not good. Do you have another source to hook up the sub to? (even low power) If you can hear it with low power source, try a regular speaker on the sub output (At No Volume Level) I would be willing to bet the sub output is faulty, or wired incorrectly. Hope this helps.

Sub seems to not get louder with volume increase. It seems to be overpowering at low volume or boomy then as you increase volume the front main speakers seem to take over.

Try adjusting the frequency cut off of the sub and also play with the gain control on the sub. Turn your system up to where your front speakers are sounding as you like. Then try adjusting the sub to match the fronts so you have a good balance and blend.

Subwoofer works at high volume, doesnt work at low volume

You had the settings set incorrectly and overdrove it. The voice coil leads are burn't open. If you look at the little flexible braids by the terminals I'll bet they are black/brown and maybe even burn't in half. It's toast.

Car amp's stopped working. Putting out a heart beat sound through subs but no bass.

could be low current ,disconnect all power including ground for 20min N.B most amps will seem to be shorted at output but this is normal due to damping ratio.
