Unplug the monitor video cable from the computer. Power on the monitor and see if you get the same results. If so then your monitor is defective.

You have a defective light engine. Contact RCA support. Sometimes they will warranty these even after the 1yr warranty has expired.

You possibly have a cracked solder joint in the vertical circuit, possible the vertical Ic itself. You'll have to remove the board and look carefully at the soldered connection of the vertical circuit and see if any are ring cracked. Some soldering should fix the problem. If you let the problem go too long the heat these cracks generate will eventaully short the vertical Ic..

VDO card problem?

I'm crossing my fingers:

i) sometimes the cable that connects to your Hard Disk(i.e., both data cable and power cable) may
loosen....so i would suggest you to open the computer tower and reseat data cable, power cable present on Mother Board and Hard Disk ......

ii) u can alo try reaseating(removing and replacing it again) RAM (imp: place it properly....)

from my personal experience sometimes due to improper placing of RAM may lead to such vertical lines  or may be due loosen contact of data cable or power cable.....

Thanking you

You have capacitor problem in power supply, if many lines then replace the bigest cap and find anymore that needs replacing. Its an AC filter problem.
