honestly that really isnt helpful. i was looking for a way to diagnose this issue not just throw parts at it in hopes of resolving the problem. there has to be a better troubleshooting step then unplug and plug back in and it doesn't work replace control pad.

  • persistan298 Apr 01, 2011

thank you i will try that and report back. i also need the replacement part number if you have one for the control board

  • persistan298 Apr 05, 2011

i have the whole unit tore apart and not one drop of water anywhere. infact the touch button assembly is not accessible and is completely molded in and water tight.

the control board doesnt have any odd smells in regards to a circuit blowing or any indication of water. the numbers on the sticker with a bar code are 360263128455 and sf2601-K3602 rev. E its made by spitfire controls with another number printed on the circuit board of 84C2601.

  • persistan298 Apr 05, 2011

part ordered. should have this installed by end of the week. will report back.

  • persistan298 Apr 17, 2011

that didn't do anything except empty my bank account by over $100. exact same results and i am in the same spot when i posted my comment originally except i have a nice shiny new part in the old working parts place. i really would like a fix instead of just buying parts. for $400 i can replace the unit and not have to go through all the headaches. is there maybe a different tech that has lots of experience with these units that can help me out?

fyi now that i look back at my comments i said i unplugged the washer and plugged it back in and THAT is why i got a PF error. I caused the error much like one would when they turn off the circuit breaker.

  • persistan298 Apr 17, 2011

yes i did it right and confirmed its the same (just a diff rev.). my skills are pretty good considering i do computer support and have done it for 13 years.

Hi

PF error means power failure, if reset wont work then let it remain unplugged for 15 minutes and in this time take a hair blower and blow air on the control panel as this will blow away the moisture. If the error returns then the control board should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

The solution was an honest for PF error code, unfortunately there is no Magic Button that can solve the issue....but if you don't want to replace the control board then take the panel apart and blow air on the board....I mean this might solve the issue if moisture is stopping it from working

OK....the control board has to be replaced or you can just disconnect and reconnect all the connections after cleaning them....if after reassembling it wont work then replace the board

    Hi

Have you made sure that you have bought the correct control board and is installed correctly. Also, make sure that there are no disconnected wires on the control board. If board seems to be fine then check the wiring to the keypad. Hope this helps...

Good to know about your experience ....can you also check for loose/burned/broken wires....if they are fine then test the keypad with voltmeter...

On some models pf indicates a power failure. Try unplugging and re-plugging after a short pause.

Thank you for your inquiry, friend!

I understand that your Frigidaire dryer has been providing you with an error code "PF". Typically "PF" stands for power failure this can happen if power is shut off during a cycle or the dryer receives insufficient power, which could be an issue with your power cord or control panel. Let's perform a reset on your dryer and you can do this by unplugging the power cord for ten minutes. If you need any additional assistance please feel free to reconnect. -Matt

My frigidaire oven overheated last night, we unplugged it and replugged this morning with a PF on the face. The plastic has melted a little. What should we do?

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire range overheated, so you unplugged it and plugged it in the next morning. I also see that when you plugged it back in there was a "PF" code displayed as well as some melted plastic. The "PF" code means that there was a power failure. You can clear that by pressing any button. As far as your appliance overheating and melting plastic, I suggest contacting the manufacturer directly for further assistance. They might be able to point you in the right direction to have it repaired. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

My Frigidaire electrolux dishwasher model # FDB2310LCC0 trips a pf code 40minutes into the cycle and it is not the circuit breaker. how do i correct this problem?

Good Morning Doria, thank you for allowing me to assist you!

Typically PF means power failure and you should be able to start a cycle. Unplug the unit or flip the household circuit breaker. Wait about ten minutes and then turn the unit back on. If the error code continues to display, I would suggest contacting a professional to accurately diagnose and repair it.

Best of luck!
