Once dry the parts on the fone may rust making it useless... take it to a foneshop so they can use the right vhemicals to clear it of contamination from the water ingress... i repair fones. your fone will most likely work once dry but within maybe weeks or months it will be useless and the IC's on the board would have rotten beyond repair

Samsung Galaxy S Stratosphere SCH-I405 Screen Issue

the flexes probably had been damaged by now, stratosphere is not that tough when it comes to water, unlike galaxy s3, you need a technician now for your phone to work, or better yet, look for the nearest samsung service center and bring your phone there.

My Samsung Eternity got wet - now the screen

Hi,

phone can be fixed.

The water that entered the phone has stayed in the phone for too long and it has affected the screen of the phone.

Even till now the water has not fully dried up in the phone and it might still get some other damages if not serviced to dry up the remaining water in it.

Unscrew the phone and use a methylated spirit and a brush to wash of the board of the phone.

After washing the board of the phone, put it under something to heat the board to dry faster and couple the phone back.

i will advice if you do not have the knowledge to fix up the phone, you can take it a mobile engineer to fix it for you in other to cause further damages to the phone.

Have a nice day.

I got my ipod touch wet with water, an my touch screen stopped working.then i blew in it where u charge it an te screen turned white so i let it dry an now the touchscreen wont work an its like really...

Throw it in a bag of white rice for a 5 days. Restaurants use it in their salt shakers to absorb moisture.

Apple won't replace units damaged by water, but theres a guy on You Tube that will show you ways to defeat the system so you can trade in your ipod under warranty for a new one.

Cheers Old Chap.

Moisture from hot tub got under the touch screen of my cell phone, and now it's not responsive to touch. Is there anything I can do?

When most cell phones get wet or aquire moisture the circuit boards on the inside rust as they dry out so if the phone is insured I woudl just suggest replacing it because the rust on the inside will continue to affect the phone even after it is dried out. Depending on who your carrier is you maybe able to have a tech open up the phone and clean the circuit board with some solution. This is not something you should attempt your self because it would void any warrenity remaining on your phone. If you have a warrenity and you phone is not visibly wet and all your indicator on your phone are still negative for water damage (stickers located on or around your battery to show that your phone has water or moisture damage) then just take it in for a replacement but, leave out the part about moisture just tell them the touch screen is not responding

Left my samsung eternity out in the rain. Will turn on but won't respond to touch.

if you ever have a phone get wet, first thing to do is remove battery and allow a few days to dry before applying power. otherwise un-repairable damage will occur. try removing battery and allow to dry out in a warm dry place for a week or so.

Water damaged phone, Samsung Omnia SCH-i910

rally feel bad about your loss......and i think oyu were right about not getting yourself a new lcd screen...there iare more problems that the water gives to a phone than just a screen damage....so please don't act stupid by going for screen replacement...you might feel the phone gets ok after the replacement but after sometime it will start showing weird problems......so my advice would be not to watse any more money on your phone and go for a new one instead....hope this helps ...and please vote...help us to help you better...

Wet phone

Did you try taking out the battery and letting it dry. Depending on how wet it got, your battery may need to dry out or the phone is damaged. My friend dropped his in the shower, took 2 days for the battery to dry out and it was fine.
