Question about HTC HD2 Smartphone

1 Answer

I took my HTC-HD2 for repairs on my touch screen. When it came back it was not reading the SD card, I am using a ScanDisk 2GB micor SD. I am reluctant to take it back to them as their support seems a bit dubiaous. I am likely to do a better job myself if given the correct solution to my problem.. besides that they kept the phone for over 4 weeks, i spent a lot of money to not have it for that period again. Only problem is i cant dispose of the phone at the price i paid for it.. So if anyone has a solution for me.. please HELP.. :-(

    Thanks.. :-(

Hi,First of all you will need to be sure if the repairer has not damaged your card reader SD card prot where you slot in the SD memory card. Because you might go and buy a new SD card for your cell phone and still does not work and you will be thinking that the SD card you just bought has problem too.

You don't need to sell of the cellphone, it is a very Good one to use. Keep it and just get a new SD Card for your cell phone. It's not to expensive to afford..

When you replace the SD card you will find the cell phone interesting again.A lot to do with the cell phone..

Just let it go it's not worth it, Just get a new SD card and enjoy your cell phone why it's last..

Take care..

Yesterday my phone fell down and the screen shatter ,could it be repaired or i have to discard the phone

Several companies offer to fix your phone for a small fee - for example www.htcphonerepairs.co.uk

Another option is to do it yourself. Parts can be bought from specialist websites, but you will have to perform the screen replacement yourself.

Hello my htc hd2 for t-mobile will not let me access the phone at all. i didnt drop it, or damage it in anyway. my code is 1988 for the screen lock and i typed it in and it just doesnt work? i tried the...

Hello, what sim network in your phones? Are you still used t-mobile sim card? Or you have change that sim card before? it seems you phones unlocked and you need HTC Touch HD2 unlock code so you can access your phones again. Try call T-mobile customer service and requested HTC unlock code for your phones, this process needs 1-2 weeks before you get that unlock code and don't forget to prepare some money to pay charge from t-mobile. If you need that code immediately you also can buy unlock code from third party sites with lower price and just need to wait a couple minutes.

How can I install Android 2.2 in my HD2,thanks.

Prerequisite to run Android 2.2 Froyo on HTC HD2

1. Flash HardSPL3 on HTC HD2
2. Flash any HTC HD2 Radio ROM Leo_RADIO 2.08 onward

Guide to install and run mattc Leo + Froyo w/Sense 1.7 build

1. Download zip file here.
2. Extract contents of zip file to your SD card. Note - Android folder should be located at root level (SD card\Android).
3. Using file explorer in Windows Mobile, inside the 'Android' folder run CLRCAD.exe (to fix audio issue). Don't worry, it will appear to do nothing, that is normal.
4. Run Haret.exe.
5. Enjoy...

Note - Android 2.2 Froyo on HTC HD2 is not perfect yet compare the actual Android phone HTC Desire. Some functions are not working. And I got white and black screen of death (SOD) sometimes. But it is getting better and better each day. Hoping it will out perform actual Android phone out there soon.

HTC HD2 sandisk adaptor

Okay, you have 3 pieces:
Really small piece - microSD Big piece - SD Card
Forget that black mid-sized piece, you won't be needing it.
The very small microSD card should be inserted into the phone (in the battery area in back).
That is what you will need it for, just in the phone. But if you want to ever take it out of the phone, you slide it, face up, and it fits one way only, into the large SD card with the red and blue Sandisk label. You would do this because a computer or laptop would never have a way to read the small microSD card we put in the phone, so we put it in the larger carrier and use an SD Card to access the memory card in our computers if we need to.
Basically for me, my microSD card is in my phone 24/7. It stores all my files documents music etc in my phone. I have the 2 larger pieces but never use them, just install it in your phone, and carefully, you need it.

My T-Mobile Dash won't read a 4gb SD card

Most T-Mobile Dash phones will only recognize a 2gb sd card. I've only heard of some 4gb cards working, what type of card do you have? Unfortunately it's probably a compatibility issue and you'll need to get a 2gig scandisk, a 4gb scandisk might work, I'm not sure though.

Error 30

The "E30" error code indicates reading/writing data on a SD card has failed. Especially, the error code "E30" may appears when you tried to remove a SD card while the camera was processing data. Solution To clear the "E30" error, try performing the following procedure. 1. Try using another SD card. If you have another SD card, try loading it in the camera. If the error code is not displayed when the other SD card is loaded, there may be something wrong with the first one rather than with the camera. 2. Use your computer's ScanDisk utility to check the SD card for errors. Use ScanDisk to check the SD card for card error or card failure. Refer to the instruction manual for your operating system or Windows Help for further instructions. (If you are using a Macintosh, use the "Disk First Aid" program to check for card error or card failure. Refer to the instruction manual for your Macintosh OS for further information.) Be sure to back up the data on the SD card on the computer before you check the SD card. If a card error or card failure occurs when you use your computer's ScanDisk, there is something wrong with the SD card. Follow ScanDisk's on-screen instructions to solve the problem. 3. Format the SD card with your camera Try to format the SD card with your camera. Please refer to the "Camera User Guide" for your camera for instructions on formatting SD cards. Also, please note that formatting a SD card will erase all data on the card. Once the SD card is formatted, follow the procedure described in step 2 above and use your computer's ScanDisk on your computer to check the SD card for errors. If a card error or card failure occurs when you are using computer's ScanDisk, there is something wrong with the SD card.
