Go to the Dell WEB site and request or download a recovery CD for your model notebook. You can download the device drivers from Dell WEB site, the support download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop, better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on thebottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Taglabel is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages, the Service Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where thespecific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you selectthe Windows of the drivers for your Windows operating system. Click on thislink to download the drivers: - http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen
I guess you selected XPS M 1530. or for even any other dell laptop on this planet. you can install the audio drivers from the following page.
Remember: - even though if you are not using XPS computer. you can click on add and edit service tag. and enter your computer service tag. and make sure to check if the os you are installing for and then click on audio. and there would be 1 or 2 files. install the file which has driver written on it.
TO CHANGE THE COMPUTER MODEL OR ENTER A SERVICE TAG OR DIRECTLY DOWNLOAD THE AUDIO DRIVERS FOR XPS M 1530.
If what you need is the driver for your laptop. Go to http://support.dell.com and click on drivers. Once there it would ask you if you would like to search for drivers using the service tag or by choosing the model. It would be best to just enter the service tag. Your service tag would be located at the bottom of your laptop on a small dark gray sticker.
Were you able to download the driver from the link I sent you?
This would affect my ability to send you any more, since Dell is a closed site. I have an account and can get to drivers I just didn't know for certain if you'd be able to download the driver with out a password.
