Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: hello

That camera has a SD card slot. I would ignore the internal 16MB of memory and use a SD card. (512's are really cheap)

The SD card can then be removed and placed into a SD to USB reader. ($10-15 range) When you use one of these it makes the SD card into another disk drive -- so you can then just copy or move the files to your HD and do with then anything you would do with any other jpg or video file. You can also carry multiple SD's and have extra digital "film" available to take more pictures. You can also take these SD cards to just about any Wal-Mart, Walgreens, or CVS and make real prints for about .20 a piece.

SOURCE: down load video from camera

download quicktime alternative from this link and run it on your computer. Some OS's don't support the file your video is formatted in.

the manufac. recommends
QuickTime 3.0 or later is required to play back movies (Data
type: AVI/Compression method: Motion JPEG) on a
computer. QuickTime (for Windows) is included on the Canon
Digital Camera Solution Disk. On the Macintosh platform, this
program is standard with Mac OS X or later.

SOURCE: Blurry camera screen

If the pictures are blurry, you probably damaged the lens with the drop. You will have to send the camera to the factory service to replace the lens unit, if it is not serviceable.

If you drop a camera this is not normally covered by the warranty. You may find it cheaper to replace the camera than have any major service done to it.

I cannot get the computer to recognize that I have a camcorder install? I wiould like to use my camcorder to work on my laptop and I cannot get the computer to work with the camcorder.

Make sure that the software/driver of your camcorder is installed on your computer. The driver is included in the package with your camcorder. If it's already installed, try using other USB ports on your computer. If that fails, try hooking other devices that use USB ports on your computer, and see it that work. If other devices work w/ the USB, check the USB cable of the camcorder, then try to see if there is a setup on the camcorder that indicates "connect to computer", some camcorders have this. If all else fail, contact your manufacturer.

USB

you should have a driver installed on your computer so that your device will recognize the device youve plug. if still not work then your usb driver must have a problem. try to plug any usb device to your computer aside from your camcorder then see if it works. if other device is working then your usb on your system is not the problem. youll need a driver for your camcorder. if other device wont work too then your usb nor the driver got a problem. be sure to install both this time. if you need a driver for you camcorder(if you dont have) ill find one. but almost all brand new camcorders camed with a driver and appication software. if you dont have a driver for the usb then ill find too. hope that helps!
