How to remove drum unit from kyocera fs 1920 - Printers & Copiers

    my employees did not take care of the kyocerafs1920 and now i have multiple lines across a a4 paper and the lines are multiplying .please can you tell me how to access the drum and remove any staples etc .thanks you for looking at my inquiry...jay

caution.gif CAUTION: Before performing any of the following procedures, read and follow the safety instructions in your Owner's Manual. Installing the Toner Cartridge Install or replace the toner cartridge while the printer is on (if the power is not on, the cartridge carrier will not rotate).

  1. After confirming the Insert Yellow Toner (Y)message, open the front door.


  1. Hold the tape on the protective cover and pull it forward to remove the cover from each chow to remove drum unit - note.gif slot.

  1. Make sure the color of the toner cartridge matches the slot on thehow to remove drum unit - toner_shake.gife carrier. The order is Y, M, C, K. Gently shake the cartridge to distribute the toner evenly.

  1. To insert the toner cartridges, align the arrows on thow to remove drum unit - e.gifrtridge with the corresponding arrows on the printer. Guide the cartridge in until it snaps into place and then push down the handhold to lockhow to remove drum unit - note.giftridge in place.

    1. The toner cartridge carrier rotates to the next empty slot. When the color of the newly inserted cartridge appears on the display, followed by the Insert message, insert the next toner cartridge.

    2. Repeat steps 1 through 7 when inserting the remaining cartridges. Installing the Drum Cartridge

      1. Remove the protective sheet from the drum cartridge.

With the lever in the upright position, hold the drum cartridge by the handle, align the arrows on the drum cartridge with the corresponding arhow to remove drum unit - step_c_whole.gifter and guide the cartridge in until it snaps into place.

    1. Close the top cover, then the front door.

    note.gif NOTE: After installing the drum cartridge, the printer makes an adjustment for about one to two minutes. Do not turn off the printer during this time.

Open the top door
remove the toner cart
pull green handle by the paper cassette and pull feed unit out
unplug the unit that is under the toner cart
pull gray lever back, lift DV unit up and out..hard to do
open left door... remove waste bottle
press gray button on drum unit...slide out

1. Remove the paper cassette and the paper transfer unit. (Draw the paper transfer unit while pressing the buttons in)


2. Remove the developer unit.

CAUTIONS When if installing or removing the developer, do not let the magnet roller touch any part in the printer.

A. Open the top cover.

C. Remove the toner container.

D. Disconnect the developer connector.

E. Remove the developer from the printer while sliding the developer lock lever frontwards.

F. Gently flip down the magnet roller protective cover.

NOTE After removing the developer, seal it in the protective bag and place it on a flat surface. Do not place the developer in a dusty area.

3. Remove the waste toner bottle.

4. Remove the drum unit while pressing the drum lock.

My kyocera fs mita 1920 some dose not print or the message of add tonner come out while tonner was their why it do that?


remove the toner ... shake it well and re fix it and check ..... remove the drum unit and clean it ........ for more details please post your comment

Change drum kyocera fs-3900


open printer front cover and remove drum unite ,two side screw open two side spring **** two side open drum
if you are not possible it then buy a new one unite in your service authorized delar

Your drum unit is not seated correctly. Look inside for a bent drum ground clip.

Hi,i will do this: Remove toner,then remove developer unit.Try to clean magnet roller on developer unit with dry cloth, if see lines on roller.Pull out paper transport unit(green handle ) and clean transfer roler and vacuum it.Then ,when is paper transport and developer unit out, remove drum unit(open door on the left side on the printer and pull out drum). Remove Corona from drum unit.Remove and clean grid,corona inside and corona vire.
Check fuser and drum for scratches.
