Question about Bugaboo Baby Gear

1 Answer

Hello, one of the rear wheels of our Bugaboo Bee is making grinding noises so we took off the wheel and cleaned/lubricated it today, but the grinding noises are still there. My hubby thinks there could be sand inside the wheel itself but he wasn't sure how to dismantle it .. do you have any recommendations? Or should we buy an entire new wheel?

Yes the Bee+ wheels fit you need two 4 mm alan / hex keys to take off the wheel. You could just change the bearings they use a 608zz bearing any bearing or skate board shop would sell but you may need to add a few spacing washers as the Bugaboo bearing has an extended core.

Can't get wheel off bugaboo bee (to replace it)

Screw the inner bolt back in but leave sticking up by a 1/4 inch then use a block of wood and a hammer to tap inner bolt to force the outer bolt out.

My stroller wheels wont swivel only going in right directiin dey work when im driving it n try to turn dey wont swivel but when I go in right direction dey drive perfect

The front wheels clip off. Take them off and wash in hot soapy water then rinse in fresh water. Clean the metal pin the wheels clip to and swivel on with a rag. A light spray of silicon lubricant will help. The usual Bee problem is they swivel too easily and people fit rubber washers on the metal pin to dampen it.

I'm trying to find the bearings on my bugaboo bee to clean them. where are they?

The front wheels are held on by capped star washers. Removing them will damage them so you need to find replacement washers before you try that. The back wheels can be removed but you need two hex keys. I just stick the wheels in hot soapy water, hose off and wipe dry. I than spray with silicon spray. If you are having the infamous Bugaboo Bee front wheel jitters try putting a rubber washer over the swivel pin.

The right central axis of our Bugaboo Bee is jammed and we are unable to move the seat up or down. Is there any way that we can fix it at home? If not we live in New York City and would like to find...

Bugaboo's have a 2 year warranty find your invoice and serial number and contact Bugaboo Customer Service a Google will find the details. Silicon Spray is a great lubricant for any stroller just spray and wipe of excess with a paper towel. Any hardware or auto store will stock it. Lubricate the Bee wheels regularly too as they have a history of failing!

On my bugaboo bee 2009 model the rear wheel makes a grinding noise gets worse if on a pavement that is slightly bummpy can anyone help please?

There has been a lot of complaints about the Bee's wheels on the internet including Bugaboo's own Face Book page! Your Bugaboo is ether in or only just out of the 2 year Warranty so contact Bugaboo customer service about getting a replacement set. The rear wheels are held by Hex nuts and are easy to remove with a small hex key any hardware shop can sell you. I use Silicon grease (as used to lubricate taps) when I repair stroller wheels. I think the Bee is a neat little Stroller and my wife has one but it really is only a Shopping Mall Stroller and those little wheels won't tolerate to much rough suburban footpaths.

Hello just would like to know where to buy rear wheals for older bee?

i am sorry you would just need to buy a new one as wheels are not the kind of thing that are readily available the only thing i could advise is looking on ebay for a broken stroller or keep your eyes peeled for any stroller with similar wheels because trust me there must be atleast 100 different strollers out there where the wheels will fit

Wash wheels in hot soapy water, flush in clean water let dry than spray with a silicone lubricant. The bee is only a footpath and mall stroller and not suitable for jogging.
