Can you give us more info? Look inside the bobbin holder for lint accumulation, that can prevent proper insertion. If the spring tensioner on the bobbin is loose it can also cause this.

My bobbin thread breaks too much. How do I fix it.

Be sure you are using the correct bobbin for your machine. Even though it appears to fit the bobbin case, if it is the wrong bobbin, it could cause major headaches.

Try a different bobbin. Try different thread.

Also check that the bobbin thread is wound smoothly and turning the correct direction in the bobbin case. Make sure the thread is threaded through the bobbin tension properly.

AVOID old and inexpensive, bargain bin thread!

There could be a nick or burr somewhere that is catching the bobbin thread and breaking it.

Try loosening the bobbin tension a bit. It could be too tight, especially if the bobbin thread is pulling the upper thread down to the underside of the fabric.

There could also be something wrong with the bobbin case itself that may be resolved by trying a new bobbin case (or borrow one from a friend, etc.)

Singer5050 sews a little then jams top thread in pieces in bobbin area

Start from the begining.
Use your Instruction Book and make sure the machine is threaded correctly.
Put in a new needle.
Adjust the top tension to about halfway.
Fit a fresh wound bobbin that does not have all sorts of different threads still wound on it(a bad habit with a lot of people).
Make sure the bottom tension is correct.
Make sure the bobbin is fitted corectly.
Set the machine to do basic straight stitch(mid range stitch length).
Try sewing and see if the problem is solved.

I am using an old singer sewing machine. the fabric is not moving when i sew..

Hello

Make sure your feeddogs are up. That is the little jagged looking plate under the pressure foot. There should be a setting on your machine that will move it up and down.

If they are up then the next thing I would suspect is that the bobbin is not in correctly. If it is a normal round bobbin that fits in a bobbin case, hold the bobbin in front of you so that the thread end is on top and the thread is going away from you, and slide it into the bobbin case. Feed the thread through the right openings in the bobbin case. When you pull the thread end the bobbin should turn clockwise.

I have a necchi sewing machine. How and where do you insert the bobbin in model 525fa

if you have a snap in sewing table remove it first
at the bottom in front of the needle plate area is a bobbin case door
when you open it there is the bobbin case & also should be the feed dogs
always keep the bobbin area clean of lint or loose threads
take note of how the bobbin case is inserted in the bobbin area,, see where the thread tail is at on the bobbin case
then make sure the bobbin is wound correctly or it can cause sewing problems
reinsert the bobbin into the bobbin case the same way it's removed

I also have a necchi sewing machine, the base of your is like the base of mine, if you need a picture of inserting the bobbin,, send me a comment with your email address & I will send you a picture of the threading the bobbin case & inserting it

Necchi 215A Sewing machine Could anyone help I have a Necchi 215A which will not catch teh bobbin thread, I have tried a new needle and checked the bobbin is loaded and fitted correctly. The needle passes...

Make sure the bobbin has a 3-5 inch thread tail
Then make sure the top thread has a 3-5 inch tail
Then hold the top thread tail with your fingers (away from the needle)
& use the hand wheel on the right hand side of the machine to slowly
Lower the needle in the bobbin area & see if the bobbin thread will pick
Up that way

Trying to sew straight stitch but stitch loose and lots of thread on bottom

No top tension, follow manual to thread top again and make sure tension dial is set to 5 and thread is pulled between the tension discs fully.

I have a Simplicity Embrodery Machine, and the needle keeps breaking. I have checked the bobbin, changed the bobbin, changed the thread, changed the pattern. It sews for about 5 seconds and then breaks.

It could be the thread is hanging up and breaking the needle.

Check the thread spool for nicks - turn the spool so the thread is feeding from the bottom of the spool.

Watch the thread as the machine stitches, if the thread is pooling at the base of the spool, use a thread net on the spool.

Open the needle plate and remove the bobbin and bobbin case - clean out any lint or thread snips that may have accumulated there - do this often to help the machine work as it should.

I have singer sewing machine. The black casing the bobbin fits in is supposed to move when sewing, I know, but this seems to move excessively and does not fit in tight enough so that when sewing, it slips...

The black bobbin case that the bobbin sites in is not supposed to move at all, on the right hand side of the bobbin case you will see two screws, if you slacken them off you can push the guide bar closer to the bobbin case leaving enough thread to pass through the gap.
