SOURCE: will i be able to

Hi, As long as you like the way the speakers sound there is really no reason you cant use whatever speakers you want. To find out the approximate wattage of the stereo you are using look on the rear of the unit and you will find a tag that has " SPECIFICATIONS " on it. There you will see perhaps the a.m. and f.m. frequencies it's capable of receiving also there should be numbers saying something like" 100-240vac or 100-240v~ 50-60hz 1.2amp or 120watts.( if power is listed in amps only-1 amp's equivalent to about a hundred watts)Dividing the wattage by 3 will give you an approximate power out put. Example if your stereo draws 120 watts worth of 110 from the wall it will put out approximately 40 watts to each speaker. Changing from OEM speakers is all right as long as you don't try to hook up some 150 watt peak speaker to a stereo capable of just, say, 10 watts per channel. Doing this will eventually cause damage to the amplifier, not to mention causing about 30 percent total harmonic distortion-which take my word for you will know if you ever hear it! So long story short-use what you wish, just be careful not to overload the receiver-if the speakers are a bit to powerful for receiver you can lessen distortion by turning down the " BASS" as that takes the most power in a speaker. Thanks for choosing FixYa, I hope this helped-good luck, Prodzilla

Hello, I have a little giant #508158, pump is approx. 2 years old used about 4 times to drain a residential pool that is in-op @ the moment, however the pump has stopped working, the GFCI does "not" trip,...

To be precautious, if the damage to the wire is near to the appliance you might be lucky enough to savage it as it is hard to come by. Cut the wire 2 -3 inches away from the damage and hang to drain dry for 2 days or so if there is any sign of water ingress. leave the damaged wire in situ until you are ready to remake a connection with the salvaged piece, salvage any water tight shroud on the wire into the pump or replace it with new.

When you open the electric box on the pump it would pay you to test the pump motor with a mega, to see if the motor is down if it is need I say any more.

When you have finished the repair or what ever, it might be an idea to store the pump , either repaired or replaced inside a metal box and put some rat poison baited traps around, also leave a couple of Asprins out for the rat in case it get guts ache.

Protect mode

This occurs when positive and negative terminal is short circuited. In other words, check your each speaker wires if 2 intertwined wires are connecting to each other creating short circuit. This could also happen on the back panel of the receiver where wires are plugged into each terminal. Basically, PROTECTED MODE display occurs to protect system from getting harmful internal damage. Hope you discover the culprit wires.

I have an old Sony SS-TS51 SYSTEM but have no remote to program it. Where can I find a replacement remote. Thanks for your time, Diane

The Sony SS-TS51 is just the speaker set. What's the electronic part?

Try http://www.remotes.com/ with the unknown model number, then zoom in on the picture of the original remote provided on the site to get the actual remote model number for subsequent web searching if necessary. Also check eBay: search for "(model of the device or the remote) remote", check the 'include description' box. Usually cheaper than the vendors.

Can you tell me if a receiver Sony 7.1 works with speakers ss-mf515 and What happen because I use the higher volume and the speaker sound low?\r\nWhat kind of receiver works with the speakers I mencioned...

Since you don't name the receiver we have no idea of its audio power or compatibility with 'standard' 8-ohm speakers.

Register and download the manual for free at retrevo.com

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Sony-SS-MF515-Speakers-manual/id/956ci160/t/2/

Any normal standardized NOT-all-in-one-hi-fi-in-a-box amplifier will work with these speakers.

We recently bought new speakers and the wires have

Most speakers that are not part of a proprietary system of original design will accept a spade and/or a banana plug, likewise with amplifiers and receivers.

You can also bind your strand wires or solid core wire types around the posts and tighten them down.
