Download the latest bios version from acer download center ..click here,save the file onto computer.
1. Please kindly unzip under windows mode.
2. Right click "BIOS_v1.45.exe" and execute this file as an administrator to update bios.
This should fix the problem.

this can be possible if your laptop is AMD processor. kindly check the cpu fan if working, system will shutdown once cpu reach the temperature set from the bios. change the fan if not working.

Gets very hot and shuts down


The cooling fan is not working properly. Any computer is designed to shut down if not cooled at the proper temprature. The fan can be purchased through most websites such as tigerdirect.com

remove the battery then try to turn on the laptop. if this works you probably have a bad/shorted battery

My acer aspire 5315 overheats constantly. i do not put it on my bed, i do not put it on my lap, i dont even rest it on the table in case it overheats straight away, i make sure theres plenty of air flow...


Try cleaning the air vents wit ha compressed air can. If no joy check for a BIOS update on with Acer. If all this does not help may be the sensors or the fans are failing and will need replacement.

Automatic shutdown without notice


its because CPU get hot. check the cpu fan or
clean that, heatsink of cpu fan must be clean and closed to cpu.

Aspire 5315 fan overworking. The laptop does not overheat, but the fan is always working and wastes ram memory


maybe the processor works too fast. it causes the fan to work too much. or, maybe you have a defective fan. contact acer support
