My rear projection TV has color spots in the picture, most noticeable on light color picture

What is the make and model of TV. If it is a Panasonic that has different colored spots such as pink, blue etc. Then you need t6o contact Panasonic as this is a memory reset that they have to perform on the LCD driver board. Other brands of LCD projection sets that have spots that appear all over the screen mostly on white back rounds are almost always dust that has settled on the LCD panels. This requires a technician to clean the LCD panels if possible.

Our Panasonic Rear Projection 65' TV all of a sudden started having color problems. The color seems to be greenish with a line going through it. Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Is this a rear projection DLP LCD TV ? If you have a light engine in it , it sounds like it is going. I have a 60 inch Zenith that had a Blue Haze that kept growing and growing, tuned out to be the light engine was failing which after all was said and done it was a $3000 repair. Lucky I had it done under warranty.

Color spots on 61" LCD Panasonic rear projection tv

had the same problem on my 52" LCD rear-projection Panasonic,
contacted Panasonic support (number is on their website) and after
several transferred calls, they set up a service call with an area
service rep, who callled the house that evening to confirm appointment.
He came to the house, removed the set back cover, and installed an
EEPROM upgrade, problem is fixed and was told problem will not re-occur.
No cost due to Panasonic extending the warranty to fix known issue with
sets. (Mine was over 3 years old).
