Try to tilt your dishwasher forwards. Be aware that water will leak out of the front. Once this is clear it should work. I paid an engineer to come and tell me this. If your machine is not completely level it causes it to over fill and after a time will not work. Good Luck

Remove the lower panel at the back of the machine. If there is water on the bottom pan, wipe it up with a towel or so, and the machine schould be like new again ;-)

Good luck

Check to see if the water is hot when it's pumped out, if it's not then your heater element may need replaced, if it is then the temp sensor may be the fault. :)

I have a adg7560/1. the cycle starts but ends after a few minutes. the light flashes four times

Run the dishwasher through a test mode

Test Mode

Make sure the appliance is empty of water before running Diagnostics as it does not pump out before starting to fill and therefore you could overfill the appliance.
Open the door and set the program to the first program. (Normally rinse).
Turn the power off.
Press and hold the start button and while holding turn the power on.
After a little while the start button will flash, release the button.
Press the start button once and close the dishwasher door.
The machine will now run through a diagnostic routine.
Should take about 20 mins.
The machine will stop during diagnostics if an error is found and will display the error code. If no error is found it will complete the diagnostics and end the programme.

To exit diagnostics at any time just press and hold the start button till the programme is cancelled
Error codes

F1. Single flash. NTC Break. NTC open circuit/short circuit or ambient temperature less than 3 Celcius

F2. 2 Flashes. Water leakage. Floater switch LS6 in drip tray has switched.

F3. 3 Flashes. Heating system defect. Heater or relay on control board defect. Chack also cabling.

F4. 4 Flashes. Draining failure. Drain pump, control board OWI or water indicator defect.

F5. 5 Flashes. Sprayarm Blocked (not present on VBL version. On 1 digit display will show as F and flashing start led).

F6. 6 Flashes. Water valve (WV1) is switched on but flow meter (FM) senses no impulses (less than 10 impulses in 10 secs) and the water indicator (WI) is at a low level
Water Valve Closed. Water inlet hose blocked.
Water inlet valve (WV1) defective. Flow meter (FM) defective (leads to FM failure)

F7. 7 Flashes. Flow meter failure. Flow meter defect. Water inlet valve defect or water inlet hose blocked.

F8. 8 Flashes. Water level failure. Sieve strongly dirty or big amount of foam inside to less water.

F9. 9 Flashes. Continuously Water Inlet. Water inlet valve mechanically not closed or control board defect.

The 4th green light on my Ariston dishwasher flashes. What does this mean?

You did not mention what model number that you had but this is what I found after a little digging:

From http://servicetechhelp.com/discus/messages/2801/6823.html?1205974228 :
For future reference, the technician who replaced the control board for me gave me a complete list of flashing LED fault codes for the Ariston LL65 (which are same as Ariston LL64):

001000 Float Switch: Water in Base Pan
001100 No Drain: Dranin Motor Disabled, Filters Clogged, Dramin Hose Blocked
001010 Main Motor Presure Switch Blocked Filter
100100 Control Board: Software of Control Board not Recognized.
000100 Water Valve: Water Valve Diabled <--- This one sounds like your error
000110 Fill Fault: Water Valve Disabled, Turbine Disabled or Control Board
000101 Heating Element disabled or High Limit Open or Control Board
000010 NTC defective or not positioned or control board
000001 NTC defective or not positioned or control board

KEY: 0 = LED off
1 = LED flashing

I also found this for a different model:
http://www.diybanter.com/home-ownership/89945-resetting-controller-ariston-dishwasher.html
No Program Code Fault condition
1 Heavy wash 1000 Operation of flood
protection system
2 Normal wash 0100 Heating
element/Thermistor/Thermostat fault
3 Rapid wash 0010 Drain pump fault or drain
blockage
4 Soak wash 0001 Not filling to correct
level within 6 minutes

Ignis adl349/a seems to fill and drain ok but stops after 2/3 mins and beeps 4 times

What this actually signifies is that there is a problem with the spray arms; they are blocked, needs cleaning.
Then, check on the filters as well, its an uncommon problem, but once cleaned, run the machine on a hottest wash, hope it clears the problem.
Check inside for the hose (see if in place or off the top spray bar)to check whether water is going into the spray bars and spray arms work well. ----------

The 5 flashes indicate a spray. Pump fault, either blocked or motor fault.

Press and hold the start button until the light goes out.

Select a program and try the machine again.--------

This should help.keep updated.Thanks.Helpmech,.

My ignis washing machine stops in the middle of the washing cycle and makes a sound, kind of blowing.

there are many more likely causes for this fault. The program will stick if the heater isn't working, if the thermostat fails, if it can't fill up with cold water for the rinses, if it can't empty the water etc. There are too many possible causes of this fault to be able to give anything other than rudimentary advice. However, the common causes of a washing machine sticking that can easily be fixed are filling and emptying problems.

Check that the cold water supply is available to the washing machine, which is a common cause for sticking on rinses.
The most common cause of a washing machine not taking any water in is either a kinked fill hose or the tap becoming faulty whereby you switch it on but the valve inside doesn't turn. Another common cause is the tap getting accidentally switched off and people not realising. Other causes can be wiring faults, water valve faults or programme control faults. This advice was originally written when most washing machines were hot and cold fill and didn't have error codes. It's now been updated to reflect the fact that these days the vast majority of washing machines are cold fill only and should give an error code if they can't take in water.
If your washing machine is stuck full of water the water needs to be drained out and this article gives tips on how to do this. If the entire washing machine has gone dead leaving the machine full of water it may be worth checking that it isn't something as simple as a blown fuse ( Washing machine is dead, wont start ) in which case if you get the washer going again it should pump the water out itself.

If the washing machine appears to be functioning normally but simply won't pump away the water then the possible causes (in the most likely order) are a blockage somewhere, a pump failure, or an electrical fault stopping the pump from running.

Blockages are the more likely explanation, but pumps can fail.

I have a kenmore elite dishwasher 577-9 17262402. The clean light is flashing. How do I stop it from flashing to start the dishwasher?

The blinking "clean light" is a common problem with some of the Kenmore and Whirlpool models dishwashers.
The problem is usually attributed to water supply temperatures being too low when filling.

Apparently, there are some issues with the temperature sensing circuits in some dishwashers that causes an error code to be generated if a certain water temperature is not achieved in a specified time interval (this time may differ between models).
There is a reset sequence that you can try to clear the fault.
Push the NORMAL WASH then HEATED DRY buttons in that sequence two to three times.
The unit will enter diagnostics mode, but can be stopped by pressing the CANCEL button.
This will clear any existing faults and should return the dishwasher to normal operation.

To keep the fault from returning, it is recommended that you run your hot water faucet in the kitchen until it runs hot BEFORE you start the dishwasher.
This will heat the water in the supply line for the dishwasher (most dishwashers are fed from the kitchen sink supply line).

The theory is that if you fill the dishwasher with hot water from the start of the wash cycle instead of the cool water that is normally in the lines (especially if you have a hot water tank located far away from the kitchen), this should satisfy the requirements of the temperature sensing circuits.
If the fault reappears, there should be a tech sheet located inside the lower panel under the door that explains what the fault is.
The flashing light will be a series of flashes, followed by a pause.
If you indeed have a component problem, it will depend on the number of flashing lights in the sequence.
Refer to the tech sheet to determine WHAT component is affected and how to troubleshoot.

Dishwasher prog light is flashing and pump is running nothing els

ok, just a few minutes after posting this as a fault, I have opened the covers, the machine has a leak, the undertray has a sensor which has detected this, flashing light (prog 45 degC wash) flashing is a code to indicate leak sensor active.
Other prog lights flashing indicate a different fault, the following details each... this is a cut/paste from another forum site, copied without permission....

jawa592rc_a04.gif on 6th Feb 2008
Cannot guarantee 100%accurate but you all might like what the flashing fault codes actually refer to, note what follows are pointers to what bit has gone wrong only. You should have the programmes running left to right: led1=intensive,led2=normal,led3=eco,led4=fast,led5=prewash,led6=delicate wash.ok so when this heap of western european tosh goes wrong one or two lights will flash this is what they mean:led3=m/ch has o/flowed water . ie the base underneath has sensed a leak.4=i/let h2o valve u/s or slow fill.5=thermister(electronic thermostat) is u/s or more likely the pcb .6=timeout heating which means the thermister senser between the door halves has become faulty or detached.3+4=no pump out, slow pump out,pcb u/s,blockage.4+5=tap off i/let valve.3+5=wash motor not coming on -seized,winding o/cic.but can also mean mesh plte filter badly blocked.1+4software fault with pcb.4+6=heating cic u/s (usually the heater tube )but can be the heater relay on pcb.3+4=pcb u/s.I don`t except any responsiblity for this being spot on or near spot on!! hope this helps someone.Try NOT to electrocute yourselves please!! If your not at all confident walk away and get "someone" who knows what they are doing.Cheers. jawa592
