Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How can I do BIOS Reflashing on acer one AOD 260-A, have black screen of *****

You don't rename any.
Download the bios file from acer.com. Ensure you have navigated to the correct model number! Check the bios version you have and if the new one is newer, run the file only after disabling any anti virus program you may have otherwise the antivirus will not allow the upgrade and your motherboard may be rendered useless!

I dont know the bios pass key...Is there a default?

Unfortunately this is a known issue with a series of faulty bios firmware versions that came out with a batvh of toshiba models over the last few years, your best bet is to try updating the BIOS (downloading the latest BIOS revision for your model here: www.helpit.net.au/Downloads/Toshiba/410BL_rev1.70BIOS.exe)
Run the update making sure to backup all your data BEFORE the update. this revision shuold remove the password bug from your system.

David

Hi, i have one packard bell model (dot_se/r-110uk ) its a netbook recently buy online but .its bios and windows both password is locked . if any one can help me to unlock the bios password. thanks

Wow, that should be easy. Contact the person you bought if from online. Otherwise to get the Bios Password off requires removing the CMOS battery attached to the motherboard. Most times this requires disassembling the netbook.

I missinig my laptop acer model number aspire 6930g product key. and now i need it

The model number is located on the bottom of the netbook on a white label above the serial number.

Alternatively, the model number will be located in the BIOS which can be entered by pressing the F2 key when turning the netbook on. Once in the BIOS, it will be under the Information tab to the right of Product Name.

I locked it and dont remember my passward, but really dont have the money to take it anywhere to get it unlocked.

It's not "easy" to solve that issue if you're not an experience tech.

I would suggest checking out youtube and scouring the net for a solution.

More than likely you'll have to take the entire netbook apart in order to reset the bios.

Check out this video so you know what you're up against. I would also contact Acer to see what they say.

Let me know what they say and costs etc...the more I know the better I can help other people with problems in the future ;)

Lg x130 netbook wont open after updates

if you did a bios update, not a good idea unless you know absolutely what you are doing and why, but i suggest you disconnect the cmos battery for 15 or so minuets this will reset any bios changes to default and you should be good to go

Can't find the equivalent model numbers for Aspire One ZG5

From ACER FAQs:

The Aspire One systems labeled with the model ZG5 are actually an Aspire One AOA110 or an Aspire One AOA150. Any information will be listed under AOA110 and AOA150, rather than ZG5.
The supportmodel number is located on the bottom of the netbook on a white label above the serial number. Alternatively, the support model number will be located in the BIOS which can be entered by pressing the F2 key when turning the netbook on. Once in the BIOS it will be under the Information tab to the right of Product Name
