Hi.

The problem is likely the hinges.

Unfortunately this is an Australian model, and I cannot show diagrams and pictures or provide service manual for the specific model.

The hinges are located at the sides of the appliance. With LG dishwashers you will have to remove the door liner to access the hinges.

I am not sure if the model in service manual below is the American equivalent, but it is very similar. The door assembly should be more or less the same.

Please click on the link below and see page 14, where explains how to remove the door.

Service manual.

Regards.

Ginko.

Hi
It could be a door seal issues, have a look at seal and make sure its not cut. If seal looks fine then it can be a faulty door latch assembly or door hinge.
1) For Front Cover access, Open the door. Remove 6 screws(Stainless). 2) Control Panel Assembly-- Remove 8 screws(Stainless). Remove the wire connections. Be sure the wiring should not be changed in reassembling Remove the Latch assembly. Remove 8 screws for Controller. 3) Door Spring (Right & Left)-- Push the Spring upwards and take it off from the Hinge Bracket. Be careful not to be injured by the sharp edge of Tub. Take off the Hinge Link from the Hinge. Open the door. Pull the Door Liner and take it off from the Hinge Supporter.
Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

FELL ONTO DISHWASHER DOOR AND NOW IT WONT CLOSE.HINGES MAY BE STRAINED.HOW DO I REPLACE HINGES

Hello friend, thank you for your post!

It sounds like it could be an issue with the hinges. I would recommend having a technician come out to your home to diagnose your appliance properly. I understand that someone fell into the door and the hinges are not closing but there could be another issue with the door. Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt

Dishwasher wont start

Most likley problem is the door is not closing properly or the door latch switch is faulty. This means the dishwasher controller is not getting the right signal before commencing the wash cycle.
Need to check the closure of the latch. If this is ok then replace the door switch.

Check the alignment of the door with the top of the counter top. The latch must complete the locking feature in order to start the options like wash, rinse, and dry.

Our Fisher Paykel dishwashers are 6 years old. The top drawer is shooting water from top left corner when door is closed and leaking water everywhere.

Unfortunately these models do not last this long and you're lucky that it has. This means the rubber casing needs to be replaced and it may be more cost effective to buy a new dishwasher for the cost of the part and labor.

Purchased a used Monogram Dishwasher/no factory info was included

First, here are some tips to help with your model number: look for an aluminum tag--or a silver or white adhesive label. The model number may be printed or stamped onto the tag and it may be written in two different type sizes or styles. You might find the tag in one of these places:
  • Inside the door jamb, to the left, right, or top
  • On the door, to the left, right or top

GE DISHWASHER LEAKS AT LEFT CORNER

Have the same dishwasher and happens sometimes to mine when the door doesn't close properly because it is hitting the cabinet front. Try pulling up and forward from the bottom of the door when it is closed. if the bottom comes forward this could make the difference and stop the leak.

My belling dishwasher wont start, the lights are on but when I press programme the red light no longer skips along the options , it simply doesnt appear.

Hi just trying to solve a similar problem. My machine would turn on but would not fill. It could be that your cold water filter is blocked. If no or reduced water pressure then the machine will not operate correctly. Take off back panel and you should see the filter assembly. GIve this a clean and see what happens.
We have 14 of these dishwashers and so far they have all proven to be very reliable machines. This is the first issue in 4 years.

LG LD12AW2 leaking

The fill switch may be contaminated with soap or debris that makes it heavier and makes it float lower in the water which means more water is required to trip it. Try moving it manually and see if it is hard to move at the top of its travel.

NEED TO SORT OUT LEAK FIRST AS THIS HAS ACTIVATED YOUR SUMP LIMIT SWITCH. THE CYCLE WILL NEVER PROCEED OTHERWISE.
