SOURCE: Just wondering what wattage would

I suggest an inverter rated at a continuous 2000 watts minimum, 2500 watts would be safer. During compressor start it could draw as much as 20 amps.

I have a sunny boy 5.0kw inverter and want to know what my total usage if for my house. how do i set this for the inverter to read the supply meter in my meter box

no idea as to the wattage used in your house as it varies with the equipment
you have to go around and add all of the wattages in use your self ---lights each, fridge , freezer , stove , fans each , air conditioners each, toaster , microwave etc and add then all up that will show the total wattage in use for the house
then you can put that in your supply meter

Everbilt SUP54HD pump will it run on an inverter which is 500 watts cont. , 1000watt surge rated ?

you have to know the wattage of the pump motor to get that answer
if the wattage of the motor is 750 watts then --no-- as the continuous current draw is more than the 500 watt continuous allowed from the inverter
when an electric motor starts there is always a high current draw ( surge ) and that is why there is a surge rating for the inverter but that surge is for a second or less so the components of the inverter will handle it but they will over heat and fail if run for longer above the 500 watt rating
it best if the pump rating is around 85% of the inverter rating so if it is more , then get a bigger inverter

Wattage use

Your calculations is correct - 220 X 0.7 = 154 watts.
If your fridge only runs on 220 volts then you need solar panels that charge 12 volt lead acid batteries and then use a inverter to convert 12 volts DC to 220 volts AC.

I would like to run my frigerator if possible , off an inverter if our power goes out from a hurricane. I need to know the surge draw in watts for the start up and the running draw in watts after...

Hello,

During the 2 peak power usage times of the refrig,on start up and during the defrost the max wattage would be 1320 assuming the compressor might potentially be tight using more power to start than if it were/is normal for a max of as said 1300 with the normal statrt up be around 800. and when running after starting it would be a max. of 500

What is the electrical draw in amps or watts. I need to see if I could use it on my boat which has a inverter off of the 12 vold battery.

. You'll need to know a little more than the average amperes draw of the unit in order to use it with your inverter . Here's why : the compressor in the refrigerator is rated with two amperage ratings . One is the running amps which is usually around five to eight amps . And you must add your condenser fan and circulation fan amperage to the compressor amperge for a accurate total current consumption . However , the other compressor motor rating is what is called LRC, which stands for locked rotor current and is much higher than the running current . Usually three to five times higher than the running current . This current only lasts for a few seconds while the compressor motor is actually starting up from a dead stop . If your inverter's surge rating is not at least 20% higher than your refrigerator compressor locked current rating , you will have problems with either or both units . The amp rating for the refrigerator should be located on the main ID plate . If the plate only shows continuous amperage or wattage, multiply by 4x to obtain a estimated LCR. I hope this helps.

I have a car power inverter rated at 800 watts. Is this enough for this device? What wattage would I need in order to use this?

Your 8975 is rated at 120 Volts 11.6 amps and will consume approximately 1390 watts.

I can tell you that an inverter will eat your battery and put lots of strain on your charging system. I dont know what your application is, but I wouldn't rely on my car battery to run this device to defrost the window or heat the car.

12 volts plug in for my TV

Sure. These are called power inverters. Here's a link to one that should work. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=422932&CatId=237 Make sure you look at the wattage rating of the electronics you wish to run on the inverter and make sure you don't exceed that wattage rating on the inverter. You can get larger inverters but they have to be usually hardwired into the battery system of your vehicle.
